NEW ULM, Minn. -- Too bad firefighters didn't have a pile of popcorn handy -- or better yet, loads of lobster tails. An intense fire consumed half of the roof of the Associated Milk Producers Inc. butter packaging plant, sending melted butter flowing out of the facility. There were no immediate reports of injuries, but officials worried that the melted butter would interfere with the railroad tracks bordering the plant's east end. The plant was holding an estimated 3 million pounds of butter at the time of the fire Wednesday. A plant employee discovered the fire in a utility area, and the 30 workers in the butter packaging plant were evacuated and sent home. Officials were investigating the cause of the buttery blaze.
It has been good exhanging posts with you.
I am not superior to anyone. I am a mere human, created by God who is superior to ALL......
Did not mean to offend at all.
While I agree that we are all human beings -- created a little lower than the heavenly beings -- I also think that some folks have superior skills in athletics, arts, or others areas.
I could never bicycle like Lance Armstrong, or paint like Da Vinci, or build bridges like anyone who is able to build bridges.
My comment about bowing to your superiority was my own way of honoring your ability (which I consider superior to my own) to compose clever comments.
It was in no way meant to insult or to demean your religious beliefs.
My most sincere aplogies if that happened.
Not to worry, I never take offense at anything anyone says, I respond in kind to actions. I appreciate your clever abilities and enjoyed the reparte. I was raised in rural Mississippi and my first personal books were the Bible and the dictionary. Not much else to read and TV reception was as poor as we were......
Better not let the Islamofascists find out about this they will be wearing molasses suicide belts to get around the explosive detectors.
Oh, the humanity, what an environmental disaster.
Just wait till the run off hits the water system and it hardens and suffocates all the fish.
Way to stick to it. This story should spread easily.
home of Schells Beer and the largest butter making factory in the US....mmmmmm beer and butter.
Quick make some popcorn, toast, what else can we think of...
In Minnesota in December? It was probably hard by the time the fire was out......

Woman makes Harley Davidson from butter

Giant Crawfish seen leaving Land of 10,000 Lakes .......
Must have been a slippery slope....
Why don't the fish suffocate when the tops of the rivers and lakes freeze solid?.....
The stuff was deceptive. As it flowed out, witnesses could hear it murmuring "Parkay!" with an evil laugh...
Just about! :D
Ewww!
Since you're a "Badger" do you remember when this happened to that refrigeration facility on Cottage Grove Road in Madison, WI? Exact same thing. Fire & Butter everywhere. What a mess.
IIRC, it happened in the dead of winter, too, so that made it all the harder to fight the fire with frozen fire plugs and ice and thus and such.
somewhere in San Francisco there are people getting all hot and bothered at thoughts of firemen covered in
butter.
