The people at the Boots and Black Tie Ball raised the money to keep Metro open until 3 am on the 19th/20th! Way to go!
Things have fallen apart for this trip, Jim. Milady and I must skip the ball we came for and head home tomorrow. I hope our ticket payments will be some little contribution to Free Republic. I'm glad I at least got a moment to say hello today. Sadly...

Hi LJ. The Ball is Thursday night. Tonight was the pre-inaugural dinner which hubby and I attended. Met several FReepers that I 'know' only online. Had a good time. Pix will be posted when I get home on Monday. Hubby enjoyed himself and intends to register and get a screen name. Going to the swearing in and parade tomorrow, then the Ball in the evening. Having a great time. Why aren't you here???

Our congresscritter's office didn't call, about our Inauguration tickets being in DC, until it was too late for us to go!
Mrs. Switch thinks it was a demonrat plot to keep conservatives at home and give our tickets to protesters.
