Somebody commented on the blog site that this essay is so good why is the blogger giving it away for free. I believe that if I wrote something this well, I would want everyone to see it.
This is crisp, knowledgeable, hysterical writing. so funny and so right. Enjoy.
ROTFLMAO
African-American Kwame 'Joe Don' Harris agrees. "Just because I'm black, teachers were always pushing me to go to Spellman to study Langston Hughes and Thelonius Monk," says the 17 year old. "These ol' boys here never laugh at my dream to be a crew chief for the Craftsman Truck Series."
It's funny 'cause it's true. My sister lived in a commune and planted trees and breast fed her son til he was FOUR. Now at 22, he wants to be a professional boxer!!
Ya'all gotta love it.

Obviously, the writer is writing fiction. On left-of-liberal Bainbridge Island, the little darlings are all protesting dropping the atomic bomb on Japan and hurling "Baby Killer" invectives at the one young soldier home from Iraq brave enough to march in the Memorial Day parade. I kid you not. But it sure is fun to read.
And the Dukes of Hazard thing...my momma wooda knocked my brains out if I ever put on a pair of daisy duke shorts. If my daughters had tried to wear them, I wooda snatched them bald-headed.
So there IS hope for today's youth.
I have taken a liking to country music since dubya was re-elected hehehe.
When I saw Lee Ann Womack do "I Hope You Dance" at the RNC I thought I'd open my mind up to country. And this is coming from a RUSH fan (RUSH-best thing that ever came out of Canada).
If you're new to country music you may not know that....it's just an F.Y.I kinda thing.
It was a firstorm when it happened a few years back.
I bet mom is thrilled at that.
dernd right ping!
The difference between the parents in this article and me is that I am proud as punch of my JROTC girl, I wear a NRA ballcap, and I too know all the words to "Redneck Woman," which I sing at the top of my lungs with all the car windows open so as to shock the liberals from Chevy Chase.
Welcome to the other side of the tracks.
YeeeeHawwwww!
Slumming with us shi*kickers.
There is more than a grain. My daughter is a straight A honors student at a very liberal high school. She met some good ol' boys on a Florida vacation and was more impressed with them than she ever was with her peers at HS. She is a Republican through and through but will fight to the death for any liberal to be heard. She wants to be a doctor but has decided that she needs to be a small town MD where she can be with people that are more like her. It is an amazing thing to see.
She just read the essay and found it absolutely spot on.
You bet I am in East LA? Lower Alabama that is.
Child you are way in the South, that darn near makes me a Yankee.
I get much lower, I'd be swimmin in the Gulf. We're all
converted crackers.
