Stay alert! The New York Times ALWAYS manages to slip something in somewhere.

What's this repeated "Mr. Janabi" business! The only civilized title this murdering monster should have is "Terrorist Janabi".

In the back of the compound was an ice cream truck, its sides colorfully decorated with orange, red and blue popsicles. Inside it was packed with rocket-propelled grenades and bomb-making materials.

Those bastards were making rocket popsicled grenades.

"the other was 2 dozen fruit cakes from Corsicana Texas !"

Dadgummit! If I had remembered I'd have had Collins Street Bakery to send about fifty fruitcakes to Iraq!

I'll bet they're sending some anyway!

Okay, I'll get some of that jerky coming.

I'm not even going to crank up my turkey fryer tomorrow.
I'm going over to some friends' house and let her do the cooking!

Have a great turkey day, old pard!

"Those folks are kickin butt in a right proper manner and for that I am grateful and will set a place at my dinner table tomorrow for those in harms way who could'nt be home with their family and friends. We do that every year as my parents did it for me and my brother while we were active duty so we continue the tradition."

We will have two such place settings at our table on Thanksgiving - one for each of our sons in uniform abroad on that day.

Thanks for reminding us.

Have a wonderful Thanksgiving Day.

"Handheld GPS receiver found in IED factory contained waypoints originating in Western Syria"

Oh, now that's something with which to torque Assad...

...But do we torque him before or after we've raided those points?!

Decisions, decisions...

I'd lock that location into a SLCM and set it on well done........That was a good find as it'll bear watching that location IMO.

Good points...I saw that and didn't consider it's old data !

Good catch !.......Stay safe !

Good info here. That PPT presentation is absolutely amazing.

Makes my blood boil when I think that stuff like this does not make it into the evening news.

Just inside the mosque compound was an aluminum shed full of mortars and TNT. Like many weapons depots in Falluja, it had been wired to explode

OK, *they* wire their mosques to explode, but we can't take a shot at these weapons-filled mosques because they're "holy."

Also found in the house were files showing the names of people who had been tortured and executed for cooperating with the Americans and their allies, military officials said.

Please tell me why we avoid targeting mosques? In his second term, can Bush drop the "religion of peace" line?

Perhaps they were waiting for their ship to come in, so they could mine it (in the insurgent tradition.)

Wouldn't it be great if my bros could strap Mr. Janabi to the top of the pile of this 'stuff' before they detonate it in place.

It would bring new meaning to 'he blowed up real good'.

We can begin answering at least part of that question by looking on the map just two countries north of Iran . .

Just inside the mosque compound was an aluminum shed full of mortars and TNT. Like many weapons depots in Falluja, it had been wired to explode, and had to be carefully dismantled by an American explosives team.
