Say NO To Arnold For Prez (NO FOREIGN-Born Presidents)
Petition Online ^ | 11/23/2004 | Jon Alvarez

Posted on 11/23/2004 11:32:59 AM PST by Jon Alvarez

Like him or not, as Americans we should all stand together to say NO to any change in the US Constitution that would allow foreign-born, naturalized citizens to run for and hold the highest office in this great land...Apparently a movement is underway to change the US Constitution. We must stand up to this and oppose it.

Thanks...I'm honored//bookmaked for reading tonite...I did a fast scroll.....and the evolution of the requirement seems fascinating..Off topic..but when the age 35 requirement was instituted..the life expectancy was under 50 years..Maybe we should raise it to age 50 now..that would have kept out Slick..and f'sure, our current great president was readly at age 40..

Well, I found it interesting. I guess that makes two of us. :-)

I never really thought about it from that angle.
Hmmmm. That is a very interesting concept. Off the top of my head, it may be best to leave it alone as if you start messing with it at all, it may end up all FReeped up in the end.

It's not Arnold who is the issue. What stops the Kofi Annons of the world from becoming American citizens and running for President?

You are pretty much au point!

Tom Clancy should write a novel with all the extrapolations that sometimes come true within his novels.

I agree. And besides anyone who runs for President has their life examined with a microsope. Anyone who has been a citizen for 25 or 30 years (which takes several years of residency before that I believe) should be able to run.

Not for at least 35 years. Most hispanic families are quite conservative and when their children become Republicans...watch out they just might become Attorney General.
