Melee in Chile seen as 'big deal'

White House officials were still shaking their heads in disbelief yesterday that President Bush personally had to rescue a U.S. Secret Service agent from angry Chilean security officials Saturday night.
    "This is a pretty big deal," said a senior White House official, who called the incident a "melee."

    "I mean, the guy who was supposed to be guarded had to rescue the guy who was supposed to be guarding him."
    The official expressed astonishment that Chilean security officials had stopped the No. 2 agent on Mr. Bush's security detail from accompanying the president into a meeting with another world leader, an unprecedented public breach of security arrangements agreed upon in advance.

In contrast to Chile, which rejected Secret Service protocols, Colombia ceded control of 15,000 of its troops to the United States when Mr. Bush visited there yesterday. Colombian President Alvaro Uribe also agreed to allow heavily armed U.S. Navy forces to patrol the waters around Cartegena in rubber boats.

Thank you for succinctly articulating this perspective exactly as intended but failed by me.  I was too angry at this breach of security to construct an objective sentence (see #26, LOL) of this.  I stewed on it before this article was posted and couldn't quite gather as well as you have in your summation above.

I have shaken hands with two former USA Presidents and have been within several feet of both Bush Sr. & Jr. several times, all campaign stuff.   I've posted 'in person' threads/posts/pics with W's campaign appearances this fall in MI. on FR.

Nothing can be assumed (see tagline) and an assumption was made to 'trust' these protocols (Chilean incident) and hence the melee.

Until one gets within a few feet of the leader of the free world on multiple occasions over decades one may not realize how scary it really is every freakin' second in these situations and how much work it really is to prevent it. 

And 'Wolfstar' are you an astronomy buff or just a coincidence in a 'quantum' universe?     ;-)

DEAR ONES,

This prophetic warning and prayer request resonates with me more than a little extra.

I've felt for a long time that the puppet masters have had the Secret Service infiltrated fairly wholesale.

I've been praying that the traitors will be discovered and expelled post haste.

I'm assuming, as has been intimated to me by folks in such positions to know, that The President is being appraised of fitting warnings such as this one.

But I believe that the key issue is the prayers of earnest Believers to do the SPIRITUAL WARFARE against the demonic forces driving all the traitors.

I've long felt that there was a well connected, wealthy puppet master tasked with or keenly dedicated to removing President Bush at an appointed time. This warning fits uncomfortably well with my own feelings that I've had for so long.

PLEASE PRAY AS HOLY SPIRIT REMINDS YOU AS YOU FEEL LED. I hope, that includes, particularly against such plots and that the plotters be exposed and punished.

I don't have any real insight about the shoes thing but I feel there is a big key there which we should pray that people in positions to do something about it--that God will reveal to them specifically what that key is and how to deal with it.

PRAYER ALERT FOR
PRESIDENT BUSH

Dear Friends,

I have recently had a dream and felt strongly that I needed to share it with you so that we could be praying in one accord against its possible meaning and outcome.

In the dream I saw a very rich man who had a large organization behind him. He had for sometime been infiltrating the President Bush's secret service. He had been collecting the shoes of the secret service agents. I saw piles and piles of shoes that he had collected over a long period of time.

Then the scene changed and I saw many secret service agents running furiously towards a building where President Bush was having a meeting. They were running, but could not run very fast because they had no shoes.

As I ran with them to the building I saw agent after agent running from the building all bloody, collapsing on the ground. Other agents were carrying their wounded comrades from the building and laying them on the ground.

As I entered the building the carnage increased. I saw dead and brutally wounded agents literally covering the floor. The scene was horrific. The agents who were frantically trying to help their wounded friends were shocked and overwhelmed by the atrocity they saw.

I stopped one of them and asked him what happened. He said, "It was a trap!" I asked him if the President was okay and he looked at me with a blank stare - then I woke up.

Friends, it doesn't matter what your political stance is - I ask you to pray for President Bush's safety and the safety of his secret service agents. We must pray that his agents will not be distracted or beguiled by anything or anyone with plans to harm them or our President, and that the enemy's plans will be exposed.

I feel this attack is planned to happen soon and we must intercede immediately to stop the plans of the enemy.

In the dream, I did not know for sure if the President had been harmed. I believe that is because the outcome is uncertain at this time. If we pray and ask God to intervene on his behalf we will alter the course of the enemy's plans.

And in Jesus' name, I say that NO WEAPON FORMED AGAINST PRESIDENT GEORGE W. BUSH WILL PROSPER!!!

Yes I think they will too. Here in New Zealand there were talks from the New Zealand Police back in 1996 that they had wanted requirements all foreign heads of government must have unarmed bodyguards when making visits to New Zealand. "Only the NZ Police's Diplomatic Protection Squad could be armed to protect the dignitaries according to firearms control laws of New Zealand. This is the Kiwi way."

Of course it was changed in 1998 then when it was clear Clinton was coming to Auckland for APEC in 1999. But at least the Left here and the NZ Police were visibly unhappy about it (yes, even with Clinton our Left still hated him just because he was the US President - they won't be happy with any US President to the right of Noam Chomsky). They feel that this is New Zealand's turf and foreign heads of states' bodyguards acting to protect their bosses were applying the laws of their own countries in NZ and breaching its sovereignty.

No. A Democratic President would have left his S-agent in the dust. Probably would have him fired for being involved in an incident and not using his "Jedi" mind trick.

Either that or he would have waded into the melee and helped the Chileans slap the agent around some before firing him. I'm sure that everyone remembers sKerry's disregard for his S-service detail during the campaign.

Bush is just too awesome! I wonder what call sign his detail has given him? What ever it is it should be "Grand Hombre."
