President Bush stepped into the middle of a confrontation and pulled his lead Secret Service agent away from Chilean security officials who barred his bodyguards from entering an elegant dinner for 21 world leaders Saturday night.
Several Chilean and American agents got into a pushing and shoving match outside the cultural center where the dinner was held. Bush noticed the fracas after posing for pictures on a red carpet with the summit host, Chilean President Ricardo Lagos and his wife and first lady Laura Bush.
Other than their "Constitutional Right" to kill their own babies, that is.......
Maybe but...it is our President and we take care of our own no matter how macho they think they are. Macho doesn't make the man. Too bad they don't know that. What makes the man is just what President Bush did stepped in and took care of the situation in a swift and effective manner. "Mission Accomplished." :)
Don't assume its my voice. There are tons of us who find great amusement at the DUmmy board.

Thanks for the ping.....this really scares me...
Great entertainment: ask a lib to defend the constitutionality of Roe v. Wade. They cannot
even begin to provide a logical rationale. I
guess this is not surprising since the justices
could not either.

did either of your sons get their picture made with the President? I also would like to say thank you to your fine, brave men. God bless them.
When are they coming home? I'll be happy when that happens.......
The lady in the red jacket, may be Laura's Secret Service lady.
She shows up in quite a few photos.
I first got a good look at her last spring when Laura snuck into the daughters graduation.
Now I watch for her. I think she is in her 30's and part latin.......She sticks close to Laura and is always on guard.
And appears to love Laura as much as we do.
Of course I could be wrong.
Hell, I worry when he is on our soil! Specially after reading the DU FUnnies lately.
I do this all the time over there.
I generally have both windows open and try to raise some cain over there. What a blast!
I can't believe I haven't been found out yet!
I do get yelled at quite a bit.... giggle....
;-)
Where is he going to be? Are the plans public?
That sounds so John Kerry of me ....ugh
My point is you think the Secret Service agent was out of line....While I think he may have had to make the ruckus as a last resort.
Can someone ping me if a video is released online of Bush saving his secret service agent? I've been searching..but have to call it a night!
Thanks

He DID however see the President and got to shake his hand (in 2002 before he was deployed), and appeared on stage with him when the President came to town in October.
Ewwwwwwwwwwwww. I've never been to that site before (though I've, of course, read posts here about it). Couldn't stay but a few seconds - that's a scary place - - I just read some of the post headlines.
One of the things that bothered me the most was the upside down US flag. I have to ask - To those of you that have been/go there - are they using that as a distress signal (as they apparently think they're in distress because W is Pres)or are they anti-American (or both)?
President George W. Bush - one of the great ones!
Marking for future ping.
I would never confuse our Guennie-bear with sKerry.
I don't know, but I hope very soon......Dubya is not in Kansas anymore and I can't help thinking this was a deliberate attempt to keep his security detail away.
It's also very typical of the less educated countries.
