Bush praises Clinton

Little Rock, AR, Nov. 18 (UPI) -- U.S. President George Bush praised former President Bill Clinton Thursday as an able and talented American who led the nation with optimism.

Speaking at the opening of the Clinton presidential library in Little Rock, Ark., Bush noted the collections in the $165 million glass-and-steel structure "record the dedication and hard work of thousands, who brought talent and idealism to public service. And at the center of that era, at the head of that administration was an able and energetic American."

Bush said Clinton seized important opportunities to try to champion peace in the Middle East.

I was disgusted also! President Bush was just being too, too, very, very nice to the Clintons! I really think that most of what President Bush said was nonsense, and it made me ill that he was so "flowery" to the Clintons. I would have much preferred that President Bush never appeared at the event,.......much less said what he said!

What President Bush and his father said in support of Clinton and his wife today made me sick.

I am totally devastated but not at all surprised by their support of this traitor and his lying bitch wife.

This was not a time for Bush and his father to show 'class', nor did they show any by being there.

I understand the need to exhibit a gracious face under these circumstances. However, the comment regarding Chelsea and how much her father loved her.....well, he has a strange way of showing it by repeatedly cheating on her mother, lying about it, disgracing the family, etc. That's just not right.....

Relax people, we all know what he was really thinking. There's no point in flaming the Clinton's anymore, they're yesterdays news.

President Bush is so gracious, he makes Clinton and Carter look like the trash that they are. To think how these two men have defamed Bush and they have the gall to sit there and smile like all is well. I am so impressed by W and his father who showed up, did their duty to the office of the president and did it with style class and humility. Thank God Bush is in the White House.

Not all of the duties of a president are pleasant ones.

Presidents need to act "presidential."
President Bush is a good and honorable man who understands that... Clinton is not.

Class. President Bush has class.

What's up with Jerry Ford? Is he ill? Alzheimers?

"He used American power in the Balkans to confront aggression and halt ethnic cleansing," Bush said. "And in all his actions and decisions, the American people sensed a deep empathy for the poor and powerless."

Gross.

Earlier folks were trying to convince me this shows "he has class".

Bush propably had to take a dose of ipicac to keep himself from gagging. Nevertheless, it is tradition for the sitting President to due this duty. Kudos for Bush for not saying that clinton was a good president.

Ford was in okay shape for the Reagan funeral, but he was a no show at the Republican convention. From the reports I've read, he's fine, but has basically retired from the role of "former President"...
