So here's Bob Beckel on Hannity and Colmes tonight invoking God and talking about his faith. Is this indicative of all the Democrat strategists suddenly breaking out bibles so they can try to appear as though they have "moral values" or "faith" or "whatever".
I guess they're all scrambling now to get some "religion".
Sorry for the vanity post, just was browsing FR when the replay came on and it just pissed me off.

I saw it earlier tonight. Mr. Beckel's religiosity struck me as well.
It's sad. They see religion not as a foundation, but as a political ploy. They'll pepper their language from now on with religious words, hoping to pick up a few votes.

When he started preaching while demonizing Pat Robertson, well, all I can say is it's gonna be a fun few years watching the DUmmies flipping and flopping around.
Beckel is absolutely the biggest A## the Dims can have representing them. However, I thought the whole Beckel/Coulter talking over each other segment to be very childish. I love Coulter and her passion... but she too can be an A## on occassion. All in all, a bad display on both sides tonight.

Yes, the Democrats went secular and Godless a little before the schedule called for it. They assumed that Christians in middle America would roll over and play dead just like the Republican Senators who can't seem to remember Robert Bork's treatment at the hands of Specter.
I assume that they will now make some feeble attempts at reigning in the ACLU attacks on the Boy Scouts and drag out the National Council of Churches as a political ally.
My reaction was identical to yours. Beckel literally cracked, and I cracked up.
They'll get away with it, because they know, as does everyone else, that when a leftist talks about G-d or faith, they don't really mean it. Just like their campaign promises.
I think that's what's got them so flummoxed about President Bush. They're not used to dealing with someone who says what he means, and means what he says.

By the time the next election cycle comes around..the Rats will have at least ten born again candidates and fundamentalist preachers on the rosterem..how can we fool them this year.
Is there anything these people won't do to win an election? I never thought I would see the day when faith becomes a ploy to win votes.
Don't forget, their strategy is to 'use the language of faith' to try to bamboozle some fools into thinking they actually BELIEVE what they're saying!

Someone want to explain to me how it is that so many liberals (and conservatives) have such deep roots in the fight for civil rights? Beckel claimed to have scars on the back of his head (undoubtedly from some white pig) from his manning the racial divide. Funny, he doesn't seem old enough to have really spent that much time with Dr. King and the Rev. Abernathy. I wonder where specifically he got those knots and scars on his head. When did it happen? If you see him, ask, will ya?
