Washington State Governor's Race--Certification (Live Thread)(Rossi (R) wins by 261 votes!)
Washington State Secretary of State ^ | 11/17/2004 | The Conservator

Posted on 11/17/2004 4:44:42 PM PST by TheConservator

This is a LIVE THREAD for discussion of the impending certification of final results in the Washington State Governor's race, between Dino Rossi (R) and Christine Gregoire (D).

The Secretary of State is required to certify the final results this evening. As of 4:28 P.M. PST, Gregoire leads by 29 votes with 2521 votes from 4 or 5 counties left to be reported. King County (the Dem's stronghold) has apparently made its final report.

Washington State law requires a machine recount if the certified results show a difference of less than 2000, which now seems almost certain. It also requires a manual recount if the difference is less than 150 votes. A machine recount is estimated to take a week, a hand recount a month or more.

If the final result were a tie, the winner would be decided by lot.

Lori... there's been a movement for some years now to split off the northern and eastern parts of King county into a new "Cedar" county.

I think it's a wonderful idea, but it's harder to do than it is to say.

Don't bet on it. Not when Republicans signatures don't match the ones on file and Dignity village is an expanding demographic. Did you know the Dems did the same Dignity village voter drives on the East coast? Pack a bunch of bums into the city then every year "get out the vote". Its the MOB I tell you!

Ok, so it's gonna be hard to do. Where do we start?

Watch for this in the recount:

The Democrats will use voter signature verification to toss out Dino Rossi votes. They will sue to check that signatures on file match the signatures of the voter. Oregon Libs have used this technique to get the results the want. Washington is going to have the same thing happen here. The secretary of state of Oregon, Bill Badbury, is one twisted, political scam artist.

I know my signature is different from 5 or ten years ago. If you sign your name the differently from one form to another your vote will be TOSSED OUT!

Signed: Dave, David, Dan, Daniel, Steve, Stephen, Alex, Alexander, Bill, William, Andy, Andrew, Rich, Richard, Dick.

Then WE must prevent them from fraud, and use the legal system as needed in OUR defense.

Then, they will have to pay to have second recount if they do not like the free one. In this case I heard $750,000

Pocket change for Melinda Gates. M'soft is crawling with leftie limo liberals.

Dino Rossi, "I do plan on being governor of the whole state of Washington," he said.

Gregoire said she would support Rossi if he wins in the end, but she believes the recount will put her back on top. She gave supporters the thumbs up as they cheered for her in Seattle.

So how long do you give it before Seattle residents try to become their own state? I give it a week. This is way too much for the Seattleites. Bush & Rossi! Oh man, run and hide! Heard that Jim McDermott built a liberal fallout shelter in his back yard.
