Edited on 11/15/2004 11:12:31 PM PST by Admin Moderator. [history]

I am being sued for something that happened at the December 2000 Freep of Joe Lieberman.

JimRob has allowed me to hold an internet fundraiser to help defray the costs of my lawyers fees.

I am broke and thousands of dollars in debt, and depending on how much I can collect here, I amnot sure if I can continue or work to sign a mutual release if offered.

Right now, we have ended the discovery phase, and are awaiting the deposition of the man who accused me of assaulting him that day.

That charge is a lie.

The following story below is my short account of what happened that day.

You people who are able to FReep protest are very lucky. I would love to meet fellow Freepers in person.

Consider attending the FR Inaugural Ball on January 20, 2005. You'll meet hundreds FReepers at once! ;-)

Check this out: Are you ready for an Inaugural Ball?

Bump for reminder tomorrow morning. Too sleepy to write the check now. Might accidentally make it out for 10 cents instead of 10 dollars. Wouldn't want that now! Best of luck to you!!

"well, not sure about CT, but the civil courts never "bury" fradulent plantiffs - that why fraudulent suits of all kinds enter the system in such large numbers, the plantiffs have no fear..."

No doubt.

Even so I think you may have misunderstood the intent of my comment.
I neglected to make myself clear enough.

By "bury" I meant bury the guy in witness testimony refuting whatever claim(s) he makes.

"...if they lose, they just walk away."

I'm not so sure about that part.

Methinks Bannon will be well within his rights sueing to compensate him his [legal] expenses, if nothing else.

I've seen that happen to someone.

...in Wisconsin.

Thank you and I will. He's the one that told me about this place, thought I'd like it here and I do. Just wish I'd known about it when he was in Iraq, might have helped.

Don't be too sure. The Army sentenced me twice to assignments at Ft. Devens, just north of Race's location. Insane stuff happens in New England courts. Hollywood wouldn't touch it as it is mind-boggling unreal.

During my last assignment there, some 9-year old kid hosed down a gangbanger with a super-soaker water gun and took two 9mm rounds in the chest in return.

Crack down on gangbangers? No. Ban on waterguns? Yes.

Cut to the following scene. Masshole state trooper pulls over pickup truck with super-soaker proudly hanging in gun rack. Driver is wearing green beret and expression on face that says "dead meat". It made for a couple of interesting months.

This is from the Tax Code website: A person can gift fairly large amounts annually without affecting the unified credit. Basically, any US taxpayer can gift up to $11,000 to a single person in a tax year and there are no tax consequences: the gift giver's lifetime unified credit is not affected, and the gift recipient pays no tax. In fact, a person can make $11,000 gifts to as many different people in a year as she or he likes with no tax consequences. (See below; this number is indexed to inflation and will change over time.) Spouses can give each other gifts of any amount without gift tax filings. Finally, a husband and wife can gift anyone $22,000 without gift tax consequences, but unless the husband gives 11,000 and the wife gives 11,000 (e.g., they both write a check), they should file a Form 709 with the IRS and elect to use gift splitting.

Joe Lieberman does not care about the 2000 Election. Some people can't get over with the 2000 Election.

true. but I wonder if, as in many cases, this fradulent plantiffs doesn't have anything to sue for.

actually, this thread brings up a good concept - some kind of FR legal defense fund. not directly staffed, but maybe a cooperative effort with some of the existing conservative legal defense organizations out there, with contributions raised as part of the normal (perhaps expanded) FR freepathons. not sure of the implications of something like that for FR.

I agree. I just don't use snail mail for anything anymore. I can't find an envelope or a stamp anywhere in the house.
