I am being sued for something that happened at the December 2000 Freep of Joe Lieberman.

JimRob has allowed me to hold an internet fundraiser to help defray the costs of my lawyers fees.

I am broke and thousands of dollars in debt, and depending on how much I can collect here, I amnot sure if I can continue or work to sign a mutual release if offered.

Right now, we have ended the discovery phase, and are awaiting the deposition of the man who accused me of assaulting him that day.

That charge is a lie.

The following story below is my short account of what happened that day.

RaceBannon is a big former Marine, but I'm sure that he is telling the truth about his actions.

In Oct 2002, RaceBannon did everything possible to avoid conflict when he and I were guarding FReeper-rented portable toilets for a DC Chapter Support the Troops Rally opposite a nearby Hate-America Rally of ANSWER anti-war scum. The leftists kept coming to use our toilets because their organizers never rent enough. We had to turn them away, lest they trash the toilets (as the leftists had done at an earlier event) or overload the use capacity of the units.

I was there that day. I have pictures from the other side of the street of Tom Scott talking. I do not have pictures of the event because it was over with too fast. Kimber took a running leap into the truck with the biggest grin imaginable on his face (as you can see in the picture).

Right in front of me, on the other side of the street, was this youngish girl also with a big smile, milling around among our group (we had seen her earlier with the other crowd) getting into position to take the picture that appeared in the paper the next morning! He did look like he might be causing trouble. He certainly had no business getting into the truck.

Earlier in the day at the demonstration, he walked up and down the street with a bullhorn exhorting the libs and telling them what to say. They were pretty lame until he came. It happened exactly as RaceBannon has told it.

I once heard about a teacher getting in a lot of trouble for duct taping a student to his chair for not staying in their seat...it wouldn't surprise me a bit if the gum trick would warrant punishment to the teacher nowadays...

My heart goes out to you, and I understand somewhat of what you are going through.

We went through something very similar after, and I believe because of the 2000 election.

We also were sued and by our political enemies. They had the highest priced attorney in our area, who had been a close personal friend of the judge.(roomates in college)(both democrat players)The 14 year democrat state representive was an expert witness against us.

It is a very long, almost unbelievable unless you know us personally, and understand what really truly happened.

Anyway it cost us dearly not only the money to defend ourselves, but our good name was damaged too.

This democrat was thought of as impossible to beat, but the rest of the story is that I got a good candidate, and he, his wife, and I worked very hard with very little money, and WE WON!!!

Now people who were afraid to be seen with me are all of a sudden my best friend.

I'm staying away from PayPal for the time being. Too many ugly rumors about security problems with accounts there, and they (not spammers but the real PayPal) kept pressuring me to file my credit card number, expiration date, etc. on their system.

I just want all of you out there to understand the true purpose of the Air Force. Besides flying and fighting and winning, the real mission is after the grunts and the squids and the jarheads pacify enough enemy territory, somebody has got to be able to actually read the peace treaties and accompanying orders and explain what happens next very slowly to those guys. Unforturnately, merely dangling a piece of meat, pointing toward the front line and saying "go get 'em" doesn't work after the fighting's done.
