Speaking in the aftermath of the presidential election, Democrat radio host Garrison Keillor says he is on a quest to take away the right of born-again Christians to vote, saying their citizenship is actually in heaven, not the United States.
Keillor, host of the popular National Public Radio show "A Prairie Home Companion," made the comments during a speech at Chicago's Rockefeller Memorial Chapel and during his radio monologue the Saturday after the election.

If the IRS is good with this, then I'm there.
WOW he has really slipped over the edge hasn't he!
It makes me cringe to know that PBS receives tax money. They get on the air and beg for more money appealing to the guilt gene, or original sin within us. Yet, the slimy b@st@rds fill their personal coffers with money stolen from others.
Decades ago in Boston, we had a station manager who had a six figure income. Yet he lived in rent controlled housing. The poor property owner was forced to subsidize this Orwellian Pig. He was not alone. Tens of thousands of Orwell's pigs living in Cambridge bilked homeowners of hard earned savings until rent control was outlawed in Massachusetts.
Hey tomato. How ya? I gather his remarks were already posted here and FReeps commented, which enabled WND to write a "new" piece on what Freeps said. Odd.
ok whose uglier, Garrison Keillor or Michael Moore? Honestly they look like brothers. Of course they're liberal panty waists...what else would account for their hateful, antiAmerican propaganda...Go to France and eat shit!
Thats ok, this'll make it easier for us to steal the midterm election in 2006 and the general election in 2004.
And you should not have the right to continue to suck off the public teat, Mr. Keillor. But you do ... suck that is.
Fat, drunk, and stupid is no way to go through life, son
Good idea.
And to think that when this baby-faced idiot had a weekend radio program from somewhere in the midwest, I bought his tapes and I still have them! Gonna clean up my closet right away! And this is another reason for privatizing PBS, NPR, et al!!!
Oh, all right Garrison, you're right.
We're not citizens, so we shouldn't have the rights of citizenship, like voting.
Or the duties of citizenship either, like paying any taxes (including sales taxes, property taxes, etc.) You pay taxes to the state to do what you think has got to be done.
We'll give tithes to the Church to do what we think needs to be done. Fair?
Also, since the world is God's world everywhere, and we're citizen's of God's Kingdom, the rest of the laws of the land don't apply to us too, right? You follow all of your laws, we'll follow ours, ok? And take care that your folks don't start trying to tell our folks what to do, okey dokey?
If you don't like the local laws, you can move.
If we find something that we cannot accept in a particular denominational expression of God's Kingdom, we can change denominations and be under a modified set of interpretive regulations, ok?
How does that grab you, Garrison?
We don't vote in your kingdom, you don't vote in ours.
We live in the same land, but our laws apply to what we own, your laws apply to what you own. Our laws apply to us. Your laws apply to you. Sound fair?
No?
Why's that Garrison?
What's that? You have to have your hand in my wallet too?
But, but, I'm not even a citizen of your country, according to you!
Yes, it always comes down to that, doesn't it, Garrison: you've got to have all the control, and all the money too, right?
I guess that means we have to vote too.
Sigh.
It was such a beautiful dream...
Keillor has made a good living poking fun at Christians, which includes touring and producing CDs as a member of the "Hopeful Gospel Quartet." I used to like to hear him tell a story, but I won't be listening to this hippocrite any longer.
Hopefully we'll be able to defeat Mr Keillor, his producer/butler, and his four listeners.
Of course we all know he only means the "white" Christians. DUmmies politicking in "black" churches is standard fare.
As breathe dwells within our lungs, so does the Kingdom of God reign on Earth. It is He that make creation inhabitable.
Not to worry...we'll still be allowed to pay taxes.
Aside from the utter stupidity of this man, we born-again people have dual citizenship while we wait for our ride home.
