A US marine has sparked world-wide revulsion after being seen shooting an injured and helpless Iraqi.
The sickening scene was broadcast by Channel 4 News after a fire-fight in the rebel stronghold of Fallujah.
The trigger-happy soldier had been asked to get nearer to the injured man.
But instead of trying to capture him, the marine is seen leaning over a wall and cold-bloodedly shooting him.
He then turns to his colleagues and says: "He's gone". Coalition chiefs were last night under pressure to investigate the incident
During the Civil War our field commanders would not allow the photographers to follow them around and take pictures of battles. Only a select group of them were allowed to take pictures AFTER the battles were over. That's the way it should be today as well.
I agree with your assesment. The US soldier didn't act like he had just shot someone.
The "Mirror" doesn't get it. It's... WAR! fer cryin' out loud. It's kill or be killed. But then, what would the Mirror know - it's still trying to declare itself the "fairest in the land". Clueless...
Did he drag him to a dark room,Put a mask on his own face and join five other masked men to cut the terrorist's head off on live television. The media should just butt out.We have to rid the world of those who would see us all destroyed, We should not make the job more difficult with false, misdirected pity. The news media cares more for crazed terrorists than unborn children.
Someone call the ACLU.
Isn't The Sunday Mirror (UK) a tabloid?
And besides the troops were given orders to shoot anything that moves. So therefore I am amazed that they took the number of prisioners that they have.
We need to send the following photo to the The Sunday Mirror

HUGE difference here. Ernie Pyle was a patriot and troops loved him because he made them out to be the heros they were. Today's 'war correspondents' are anti-American a$$holes who distort every incident and love to make our guys look like bullies and cruel invaders.
This came from a UK paper? Move along, nothing to see here of ANY importance.
"Gun control seems to be a good thing" - ?? Oh.... you mean if it's controlled by a good inteligent person/marine with good intentions like blowing away a most likely booby-trapped/gun hiding/knife wielding lunatic terrorist! ROFL I definitely agree!
Good grief...they have shot 1600 of them! This is a GOOD thing!
Execution? Someone should let this turd read this:
"It is a female ... missing all four appendages, with a slashed throat and disemboweled, she has been dead for a while but only in this location for a day or two," said a Navy Corps hospital apprentice who had inspected the body.
Was this A..hole as upset by the videos of beheadings? Who the hell does he think the Marines are dealing with? I'm really sick of these pinks thinking that we should sit and have tea and crumpets and chat with these barbarians.
Just how the BBC makes this judgement isn't clear and I think they've been writing a lot of stuff lately to make the US look bad.
Perhaps he's gone really means "He's gone".
By the by, any world-wide outrage about the poor woman whose body was found, no arms and legs, disemboweled, disfigured face, throat slit? Hmmmm?
Thought so.
There is no judgement to withhold. This is war and a wounded man can be as lethal as a sound one. And we are dealing with those who have no qualms about decapitating non-combatants with bread knives. To discipline or even investigate this young warrior would be anathema.
The British MP who complains so bitterly about this incident is JEREMY CORBYN, website at http://www.northislington.freeserve.co.uk/corbyn/body.htm
Note that he is a member of "Cuba Solidarity." That means that this "humanitarian" is a supporter of the Castro dictatorship.
His website has contact information, and times and places when he meets with his constituents. Now, if you happened to be visiting in England, you could stop by and discuss things with him!
On the other hand, he is apparently a pinko skunk, so it would not be a worthwhile conversation.
