I'm all for cleaning out Clintonoids from the CIA and elsewhere.

It is possible however that Goss and his people are too heavy-handed and are unnecessarily antagonizing some of the good people.

Why didn't these "good people" get antagonized by some of their colleagues who were busy calling President Bush a liar with their "leaks" and books and articles, etc? Undermining not only President Bush but our national security?

If these "good people" get antagonized by this cleanup, they aren't "good" in my book.

Pffft.

If people at the CIA, former loudmouths, and the WaPo aren't pissed, then not nearly enough is being done to clean out the seditious scum.

Good people should not be worried.

Time will tell. The record of the CIA the last ten years or so suggests that "good people" are not so plentiful that Goss can't go to work without stepping on them.

I think this just the sound of flapping wings as a flock of chickens return to the roost.

Wow! All this anti-Goss propaganda suddenly surfacing. Could it be that his purge of the CIA is making the libs in the agency nervous.

Rebellion? Goss knows what to do about "rebellion".

Heck with that. The CIA needs a bigtime house-cleaning and anyone at the CIA who can't recognize that clearly needs to go. This is a new era, and the dinosaurs of the old era are nothing but dead weight.

"The four senior officials represent nearly two decades of experience..."

Four men. Less than 20 years between them? Unimpressive, though I'm sure they're sad to see the Gravy Boat leaving the dock.

I agree. Clean house. No 'rats allowed.

If the insiders and departures are talking with the Post, then they are not proving themselves worth listening to, are they?

Best news I have heard all day. These career civil servants are not suited for asymmetrical warfare which has been used against this country and our worldwide assets for at least 2 decades. Clean house Director Porter!

Best I can tell is Porter Goss is trying to get rid of the East Coast/Ivy League/NYTimes types that are in leadership roles.

Goss is from Florida. GW is from Texas. The patriotic southerners and westerners will be put in charge. Get rid of the values neutral lawyer types that come out with mush like "one man's terrorist is another man's freedom fighter"

This purge looks like GW's vengeance on a disloyal CIA. A disloyal CIA that took it's gripes to the press and tried to sabotage Bush's re-election efforts.

Goss is trying to purge the CIA of those people who have been waging war against President Bush and the White House by making selective leaks to the press. These traitors in the CIA leaked to the press things during the campaign to get the Prez defeated and elect their fellow traitor, Kerry.

Goss is doing the right thing and these creeps are feeling the payback from the White House.

The President has to have complete faith in the intelligence community to protect us. He cannot tolerate an arrogant, disloyal CIA. Our lives depend on it.

The Washington Post and NYT and others are squealing like stuffed pigs because it looks like their "unnamed intelligence sources" are getting the ax (which they richly deserve).

Possible, but unlikely. Check out the names of the "journalists" responsible for this report. If their sources are getting the cold shoulder then Goss is doing good!

CIA Critic of U.S. War on Terror Resigns
WASHINGTON (Reuters) - A CIA analyst who wrote a book that criticized the U.S. war on terror has resigned from the spy agency after it effectively banned him from publicly discussing his views, his publicist said on Thursday.

Michael Scheuer, whose book "Imperial Hubris: Why the West Is Losing the War on Terror" was signed as "anonymous" and published this summer, will resign effective Friday after 22 years at the Central Intelligence Agency.

[...snipage...] Scheuer decided that it would be in the best interests of the intelligence community and the country for him to resign in order to continue speaking publicly with regard to Osama Bin Laden, al Qaeda, and the 9-11 Commission Report."

Bad news is that the rats will be running straight to 60 Minutes and other borderline (or not) seditious elements of the MSM. So what. Run 'em out anyway, Porter!
