Big vanity time for me. My wife and were expecting a baby December 12th. Nature decided to speed things up a bit. My wife was diagnosed with preeclampsia (Sp?) Wednesday, and they decided to do a c-section Thursday night at 5:00.
My beautiful boy is 4 lbs 8.9 oz, 18.25", a blessed miracle, healthy and resting with his mom right now. Mom's blood pressure went back to normal after delivery. They are going to let us go home tomorrow afternoon with the baby. Life is wonderful and God has truly blessed us. Back to the hospital now. Just felt the urge to cybershare.
End o' vanity :)
Great news!
God Bless your family!!!!
Don't sweat size, My Grandson was 2 lb 10 ounces 12 years ago, You ought to see Him now! Getting tall, shoulders getting wide, all kinds of growing going on, You are going to have a blast, congratulations!
Go on and get His first rifle now, just in case of future problems!
Congratulations to you, mom, and baby!
God bless. I wish your family a healthy and prosperous future. Jim
Congrats!! Sounds like that boy of your's is going to be a real go-getter -- shows up ahead of time, fists clinched, ready to take on the world!
P.S. Oh, did you know why we have that little groove running beheath our nose straight to our upper lip?
That's because before we are born we know all the secrets of life and death, but the very instant before we come into the world, an angle puts her finger over our lips to seal our lips so long as we live. And that little groove is the imprint of her finger tip.
Taxman Bravo Zulu!
[BTW, how are you going to get cigars to all who post on this thread?]
How lovely. You were protected.
Wonderful news!! Give him a kiss and Mom one for a job well done.
And thanks for sharing this happy time with us.
God bless you and your beautiful family.

Congratulations, young man!
Congratulations!
Congratulations.
Similar experience in my family. The granddaughter is doing fine 2 years later. My son searched the internet at the time and found www.blueribbonbaby.org. The site highlights the work of Dr.Tom Brewer, an obstetrician who has made some simple but remarkable observations about diet in relation to preventing preeclampsia and HELLP syndrome. Daughter-in-law now 8+ months pregnant with second child and is doing well.
