For standing in the muddy trench

before the enemy of freedom.

For marching on the side of justice

to keep a nation free,

For standing in the line of fire,

to hold off oppression 

to hold a child not yours,

to build a school for those who have none

and to give a smile to anyone who needs one.

We Thank You Vets, for all you've done.

Happy Veterans Day to all the Veterans at the Canteen, FR, and those lurking!!

I hope everyone had a fabulous day so far. The weather has been absolutely beautiful here.

The local TV station here in the Hampton Roads area, WTKR, decided to do a report on us and "Operation Seasons Greetings". We did some local radio interviews this week. The calls, emails, and requests have poured in. Folks from across the country are very serious about helping our Troops. We are absolutely thrilled. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! This is truly a grassroots efforts that began from Free Republic and the Canteen.

God Bless our Veterans and our Troops!!

What a great country we live in. Thanks to everyone that served ---past and present---our children will know it as well.

Had soooooooooo....... much fun talking to the two Marines and our "Older" veteran brothers at Veteran's Park, I just can't tell you. Went with the intent of getting photos anyways but it was a blast. It was true, or at least seemed that way; "If you weren't in it you were watching it.
