Good morning all, Yesterday, our godson, Chet was back in Walter Reed recovering from surgery that replaced the damaged artery in his wounded right arm with a vein from his left leg. His parents were at his bedside, and sharing his room was another badly wounded young man from Texas and his parents. They had two visitors: President Bush and the First Lady!! The President and Laura impressed them all with their direct and friendly manner and their expressions of concern for both the two casualties and their families. President Bush thanked each of the troops for their dedication, service, and sacrifice for the country, said that it was a priviledge for him to be their President, asked each of them, and their parents, if there was anything that they needed, and presented each of them with a Presidential Coin. He also made a special point to thank the families for supporting their soldiers. He asked Chet how he had been wounded, and Chet told him his story. According to Chet's mother, "It was the event of a lifetime!" The patients and both families were very impressed with the warmth of both President Bush and Laura and their genuine concern. On this Veteran's Day: God bless our troops and their leadership! ..... and God bless America!

Look up the definition of Vanity. This was no Vanity. This was a story THAT MUST BE TOLD!

...said that it was a priviledge for him to be their President

And John Kerry DISPISES the Military. Can you imagine what he would have said to these Brave men?

Thank God we have a man like President Bush, and a First Lady like Laura. They are indeed 2 VERY special people.

Also, thank God for those who serve our Country so bravely. Please tell your Godson, we wish him a speedy recovery!!

This is another reason in a long list of why Bush is light years ahead of the Rapist, Goreon, Kerry, and any other prominent leftist. He just does good things, and doesn't expect accolades and cameras there to capture the moment. He just does good things because it's the right thing to do.

Good report, not a vanity at all. We might wonder if an Armistice Day is possible in the Middle East some day.
