Secession, which didn't work very well when it was tried once before, is suddenly red hot in the blue states. In certain precincts, anyway. One popular map circulating on the Internet shows the 19 blue states won by Sen. John Kerry -- Washington, Oregon, California, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Michigan, Illinois, Maryland and the Northeastern states -- conjoined with Canada to form the "United States of Canada." The 31 red states carried by Mr. Bush are depicted as a separate nation dubbed "Jesusland."

I say LET THEM SECEDE! Let the folks living on the Left Coast form their own "progressive" nation. Let the liberal Northeasterners become a part of Canada if they so desire....it would make things that much better for the REST of US!
Does Bob Beckel's comments on the South mean that it will no longer be considered "racist" for me to proudly fly the Stars & Bars anymore???
ROFL! Okay, just one. Random or selected? :o)
I vote we shoot all the lawyers and "journalists". It will be a sort of rescue mission then!
I seriously doubt that the mohammedans will be setting up a new country in rural Alabama any time soon. They have a foothold in Michigan and another in the Washington, DC area but it simply isn't gonna happen where that map says
Tim Pawlenty, a blue state Conservative Governor from MN, will be named VP to replace Dick Cheney in '06 and will go on to become the next GOP nominee and POTUS in '08...if I were writing the script anyway.
They're like Lays potato chips. Betcha can't shoot just one.
To quote some guy who was on Scarborough tonight..."don't let the door hit you in the behind"...
If libbo states want to secede, more power to them. We could pretty much relocate the major centers of power, the vast quantities of intelligent, patriotic Americans would move into the red zones - leaving desperate self asborbed liberals in their new cajones-less joke of a new country. Maybe they could called it "little Canada?
Did you used to be a government school recess teacher or librarian? Tell the rest of the Kerryons 4 more years will fly by...
The irony in your post is the description of the states you mentioned as "New England" which is true in more that one way. They are thinking a lot more like Brits than true Americans of the pioneer variety.
I for one am very proud of the ancestors that fought and died in traveling in the RED STATES and worked so very hard to create such a wonderful country.
Thanks for reminding us that secession is not an option, but one-way tickets are...and Puerto Rico is still on the table.
Those Canadian passports sure do take along time. Using a crayon to fill out the application probably didn't help!
My answer to them? "Here it is? Have some Evian to wash it down. There you go. Feel better? Oops, that was cyanide. My bad."
What is it with you folks and NPR anyway? Is it the drugs? ???
The other fella wanted to know why liberals don't want to go to to Cuba instead of Canada.
I'd like to know why libs like Canada better.
I think I know: too crowded in Cuba and in Mexico--that's why Canada seems to appealing to them: Canada has lots of rooom.
Say, do you think that's been the liberal plan all the while?
I mean, maybe they been trying to ruin America by flooding it with hordes of immigrants (while telling us how wonderful that is), after which the liberals planned to abscond to Canada where they'd have plenty of room?
They are idiots. Up to 50% of their states voted for Bush. What would they do with such people?
LOL! That jokingly came up in a discussion I had earlier this evening. A friend remarked that the nuttly left coast was resembling its own country every day but said not to fear because an earthquake would eventually cause them to drift out to sea.
We can only hope, maybe if we can get them to all jump up and down at once at a Bruce Springstink concert in LA. maybe we will get lucky! lol
