So They Learned Nothing...
The Kallini Brothers ^ | 11/05 at 01:55 PM | The Kallini Brothers

Well, three days after the election, it has become evident that the Democrats haven’t learned a single thing from their failure this campaign season.

However, I have learned a great many things, which I shall share with you, my illustrious reader.

I learned that a sitting President with a large allied majority in the House and Senate is a “lame duck.”

I learned that if a particular party wins a Presidential election with a historic number of votes, and increases its majority in Congress, it means that he has no recourse but to reach out and pander to the party that overwhelmingly lost the election.

I learned that if the majority of the country disagrees with you, it means that you are the mainstream, and the majority is a group of extremists. And they’re stupid.

I learned that if you disagree with Democrats on any issue, you’re a racist Christian fundamentalist.

I learned that if you spend 4 months in a war zone and then use a technicality to abandon your men in order to return home and accuse them of war crimes, it means you’re a War Hero, and that Medal of Honor winners who question your service and patriotism are just slimy liars.

I learned that a booming economy is really the worst one in history, as long as you just say so.

I learned that the most successful military actions in US history are really disasters, as long as you just say so.

I learned that freeing women from bondage in the Middle East doesn’t advance the cause of women as much as retaining the right to killing a 9 month old baby as it’s being delivered does.

I learned that banning partial-birth abortion is no different from raping a woman (Thanks, Cameron!).

I learned that if you don’t respond to terrorist attacks, that those terrorist attacks never existed.

I learned that socialism will work here, despite its failure everywhere else in the world for over 100 years, because...corporations...in their corporation buildings… see, they make money…

I learned that rich people are the root of all evil, unless those rich people donate millions to your party.

I learned that “supporting the troops” means voting against the candidate they overwhelmingly support, because the people in the military are too stupid to know what they’re doing.

I learned that complaining about a President’s “fiscal irresponsibility” means that the President in question isn’t spending nearly enough money and taxing people enough.

I learned that the only other countries in the world that really exist are France and Germany.

I learned that if you believe America is the biggest source of evil in the world, and that public opinion in Europe and unelected members of the UN should control US foreign policy, then nobody should ever have the audacity to question your patriotism.

I learned that any foreign policy action is illegal based on whether Kofi Annan says so or not.

And most of all, I learned…

...Matt Damon.

I learned that this administration "questioned" the patriotism of all Democrats without actually saying or doing anything.

I didn't learn that if you put up an east coast Botoxed, bottle-tanned, self-aggrandized faked war hero, Moore boot-licking, rich sow-marrying, commie hugging, conservative hating, America trashing, lying lefty liberal absentee senator from Massachusetts you will lose every time.

I could have kept going but I'm bored already.  </sarcasm off>

My favorite.

the biggest reason that the dems lost again in 2004 is because they learned nothing in 2000, either.

I learned that the 80,000 children that starved to death in Iraq every year, and the 400,000 people slaughtered and buried in mass graves under Saddam Hussein's rule were not as important as the 10,000 insurgents that we've killed since the invasion.

I learned that alienating the 97% of America that's not gay, is dividing America.

I learned that winning a 3-way presidential election with 43% of the popular vote is a mandate for change, but winning with 51%, taking 4 Senate seats and the entire South is not.

I learned that 5.6% unemployment in 1996 is historically low, but that 5.5% unemployment in 2004 is very high.

I learned they can take those 10,000 insurgents and somehow turn that number into 100,000 civilians without any facts ro back it up.

I learned that a Communist who doesn't shave, couldn't get elected to a statewide office unless the state was wide enough for him to fit into it, has only been out of the country to Cannes and other film meccas, and hasn't got any clue about our national security assets other than a general opinion that they suck, is far more credible on issues of national defense than a family man who has held the governorship of Texas and been President for four years.
