Specter is extremely proud of his opposition to conservative Judge Robert Bork, and would stop another judge like him in a second.
From the Bucks County Courier-Times:
Specter said he does use his position on the Senate Judiciary Committee - a panel he will probably begin chairing next year if re-elected - to weed out judges who are extreme. He points to Robert Bork, a Ronald Reagan nominee for the U.S. Supreme Court.
"I not only voted against Bork, I led the charge against him," Specter said.
Kick specter to the curb, he smells like ted kennedy.
"we need a strict constitutional SC judge"
The constitution is what scares democrats the most.

"Snarlin' Arlen" can try to say that he "led" the charge if he wants, but the first virulent bloviating I heard came from Tubby Teddy Kennedy, not Specter.
I guess ol' Arlen just continues to solidify his status as a RINO.
Unfortunately, George W. Bush campaigned FOR Specter.
It can be argued Dubya created the margin of victory for Arlen Specter.

Do you realize if Bork had made the Supreme Court, Roe vs. Wade would have been overturned 12 years ago?
If he said this, I cannot support this guy. It's sad that a great mind like that of Bork was not allowed on the SC.
