Bush Country 2004: U.S. Map of the Bush Vote by Counties
www.hannity.com

Posted on 11/07/2004 12:25:02 PM PST by StJacques

Well I've done a search of the posts here at FreeRepublic to see if this has been posted already and I found nothing, so I want to put it up for everyone to see.

Take a look at the map of the U.S. showing which counties returned a majority for Bush this past Tuesday:

I think this puts a real exclamation point on the Bush victory. There is more to the Bush margin than votes alone, not that the 51% - 48% split is insignificant by any means. There is also geography. What does this map show? It looks to me like Bush carried counties whose total geographical area accounts for 85% or more of the total land mass of the continental United States.

I always liked geography.

I doubt he was kidding. There is no search button here for some map or other content. Just a search on titles, which can easily miss seeing a similar post.

What Supreme Court decision are you talking about? Perhaps you have in mind Amendment 17 to the Constitution - Senators elected by popular vote ?

Can someone explain to me two areas:

1. Blue part of Northern Arizona.
2. The Blue streak across Alabama into Miss.

I once cursed a blue streak, but I don't think that was it...

They have other reasons --- but filling this country up with cities the size of Mexico cities with government dependent types isn't going to have happy consequences. We're already on the edge of having complete government takeover of healthcare --- especially with irresponsible foreigners moving in who don't buy their own health insurance but instead expect the government to do it all for them.

The blue streak of Alabama is the old "black belt," essentially a large rural ghetto.

The blue counties look like a cancer on the US.

Right, if you compare this map with map of 2000 election however current map shows cancer is in remission.

These map are very misleading, because its not square miles that vote but PEOPLE. What these maps do show is that our problems are in the cities, its like a bunch of Fallujahs all over America. Like Tumors. Take out Detriot and we win Michigan. Take out Philly and we win Pa......

Actually rural states recieve the most in government subsidies. Blue states tend to give back more than they recieve in federal taxes, mostly because of higher incomes. http://www.taxfoundation.org/taxingspending.html (a conservative, anti-tax org)
If we are going to maintain a lasting majority we need to build our claims on facts, not conjecture.

It's been posted lots....however it continues to be great to look at...seeing the real deal.

The Rats continue to try and say this country is split right down the middle...lookin' at this map tells a completely different story. And I might add, when you own the WH, Senate, House and almost every governorship throughout America...that's NO split.

However, if the dems want to continue to be delusional, I say LET THEM. That delusional thinking will cost them dearly...like NEVER winning a major election AGAIN. ;o)
