The more the hate spews from the left (in comments from loons such as Michael Moore and Jane Smiley), the more I want to gloat --- because those people are just not nice. The left never should be in power.

I've found that what works best is just to listen to them rant and rave with a Bush like smirk on my face.I accomplish what I want without saying a word.

Why Shouldn't We Gloat?

It's unbecoming and you have too much character. Besides, it serves no political purpose, it helps our enemies by making us look small.

I just finished talking with a Dem friend, who happens to be a Washington lobbyist, and he thinks that the 'Rats need to nominate a Techie CEO next time with a minority for veep. He also ranted that the country is not conservative and blamed Kerry for a poor job of selling himself.

This proves that the Dems will never get it. let them keep thinking that they're on the correct path. Let them continue to whine. Let them continue to spew hysterical nonsense.

Giving "thanks" helps me more than gloating.

I don't think gloating is something you force, it's something that just comes naturally, like breathing or feeling ill if Michael Moore appears on the TV. The Lefties are always saying we should do what feels natural, what FEELS right. They also say it's not healthy to suppress who one is.

To which I say: I agree! I'm not gloating in a sense that I want to make them feel depressed--I honestly don't, and when I've seen some of them this week I recall that it might have been me with the long face mumbling about how this country isn't the one I thought it was.

But I can't help feeling good about this election, and I'll be damned if I'm gonna pretend it doesn't feel good. They sure as hell would be gloating a lot more openly than I am.

If they'd won, they'd have been totally insufferable with their gloating. Only conservatives are ever warned not to gloat. Forget that! I say, gloat away.

I don't consider it gloating to "Praise God (From Whom All Blessings Flow.)"

We couldn't have done it without Him.

"Do unto others as you would have them do unto you"

I personally never gloat because I think it is rubbing salt in a wound and would not want anybody to do that to me.

One should never gloat, it lacks class. At least that's how I was raised.

Gloating is just rubbing salt in wounds. I'm content to rejoice for our deliverance and buying some time.

There is much to be done, and the democrats still have so many of the young in their camp.

We need to keep looking forward. The young who voted for Kerry and worked so hard for him will be turned off by rubbing salt in their wounds. Like the Swiftvets, they will await their turn for vengeance.

We still need to be very concerned that traditional values have not taken hold with significant numbers the younger generation, even the ones who are trying really hard to be personally responsible.

Kerry was right about one thing. Help was on the way. We do need to try to work together and back off intense hate rhetoric.

We shouldn't gloat bcause we all know if the Democrats won the presidency, even with, say, less than 45% of the vote, they wouldn't claim to have a mandate for their policies, but would instead make sure Republicans had an absolutely equal say in government.

The libs are trying every way to stifle the celebration but just remember, Bush has capital and he plans on spending it.
