(CNSNews.com) - Bloggers on the liberal Democratic Underground website have overwhelmingly labeled Nov. 3, 2004, the day after Election Day, "more depressing" than Sept. 11, 2001 in a poll of online members.
Seventy-two percent of poll takers said they believed the day Sen. John Kerry (D-Mass.) conceded defeat in the presidential election was more tragic than the day more than 3,000 Americans were killed in the attacks on the World Trade Center in New York, the Pentagon in Washington, D.C., and on a hijacked plane that crashed in a Pennsylvania field.
One member, "Big Blue Marble," said "I have lived 61 years, lost my parents and my sister plus many many pets and this is the darkest day of my life."
Another member, "zulchzulu," implied that he/she would like to see President Bush dead. "We can only hope that Bush doesn't make it through four years," he/she said. "The day Bush is no longer president before the term ends will be a national week-long holiday in my World."
Another blogger imagined that because of President Bush's victory in the election, "there will be another 9/11."
However, not all of the Democratic Underground's members joined in the Bush-bashing. "Independent429" chastised others who had compared the election aftermath to 9/11. "Living breathing human beings died that day! How can that compare to losing an election?" He/she added, that, "I've been a Democrat for three days and already feel like going back to Independent!"
Another member who uses the moniker, "Bush was AWOL" said "comparing losing an election to 9/11 is not mainstream and is why we lose."
"NurseLefty" responded by saying that those who think 9/11 is worse are short-sighted. He/she said that there are "those of us who see the ramifications of the second Bush term. Sorry my friends, it [Nov. 3] IS worse than 9/11."

Do you stroll through their "neighborhood" much? If you do and see anything more than the above, let us know.. I wasn't into gloating until I heard on Rush about this poll. When he said that 11/3 won overwhelminly over 9/11 as the worst day, I decided that it doesn't pay to consider them as normal anymore.
Geez, I'm really upset that I voted for the wrong man... |
Keep it coming, DUmmies. As long as you think this way, you will continue to lose.
I was reading their thread this morning.
They think President Bush should have "done something" to prevent 9/11, but they don't support the war on terrorism.
They aren't nice, they aren't smart and they can follow Teresa's advice to that reporter.
Actually, someone who WAS in NYC on 9-11 and saw the towers fall spoke out against the cruel DUers ... and got tombstoned for their trouble.
Proof of their rampant antiAmericanism.
Stalin's useful idiots.
Rush Limbaugh read this statement on the radio today. I hope that the ensuing webclicks clogged up DU again.

I'll bet this guy's grandparents owned an Edsel.
I'm not making an overly big deal about this, but it is mildly annoying that they don't know what blogs or bloggers are.
They're all choked up at my leftie-lib paper, the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. The tears are flowing faster than all three rivers put together.
I have a feeling that "zulchzulu" is going to be getting a little visit from the USSS.
Don't ask me to be conciliatory to these bastards. They have rabies and are completely insane.
>Now this is just getting plain silly....<
It just shows ta go ya....The libs are completely amoral,
or as my old civics teacher used to say "AMORAL AMORAL AMORAL'!!!!! We've really got to do something about today's education, folks. Life boat carries on!
I take a peek, I don't post on the board.
Right after the election they closed off the forums, so noone but members could see.
I didn't see this poll on the forums I checked.
They have been in such denial through the whole thing.
On this board, most posters believed that GWB could lose, in DUland, they never entertained the thought that Kerry could lose.
You've got to have a strong stomach and low BP to even browse over there, but I find it interesting info on the "hard left wing" of the Dem party.
I've often thought if the "average Dem" could read what is posted on that board, they would abandon the Democratic party.
Glad what is being said is making it to the media.
(B) I've been saying that the left would rather win the election than the war on terror and the war in Iraq (which is one of many battles in the war on state sponsored terrorism).
And they wonder why they lost. "You can't talk sense to these people" (quoting Pres. Bush re: terrorists)
