FYI...although my own hopes for a larger victory were not realized, still, this victory sent a clear message and was no squeaker.

My biggest concern is the fact that over 55 million people voted for Kerry.

We have won a significant battle, but the war continues. It is a continuing, protracted struggle for the heart and soul of this great Republic. We are faced with an ideology and party that just put forward as their proposed Commander in Chief of our military and the leader of our nation, an individual who betrayed his comrades in arms and his nation for his own political gain, and who did it based on lies, fruad and deceit. He has never retracted those statments, he has never apologized or been held accountable for those actions. His twenty years in the senate is a clear indication that he had not changed and would have done the same as the leader of this nation. Thank God he was defeated.

But it is not done, we must continue to do all we can to defeat any party and ideology that would put forward such a choice to the voters of this nation. That would fool, mesmerize, take in and enlist tens of millions of our fellow citizens in such a cuase so opposed to every thing our nation was established uipon.

God grant that we will have the faith, the strength, and the will to continue the fight.

Note the county by county map of CA. We have got to counter the high population centers somehow.

Take some small comfort that 1 or 2 million votes for Kerry were fraud. And worry that next time it may be 3-4 million fraud for dems because they will try to make up the margins lost in this election.

If the Congress and Senate had the stones, we could start improvement immediately by beginning impeachment proceedings against the most atrocious despots on the bench at the federal level. That would be a good start.

The next thing after that would be to do something about the education system. We can no longer allow only one set of ideas to fester in the education system, at any level. Either get a proportionate representation, or cut off federal funds. Period.

Republicans don't have the stones though. So we will continue to lose those battles, and thus the future.

If it's any consolation, I doubt very many of that 55 million voted for Kerry -- most of them voted against Bush, thanks largely to an activist media controlled by Democrats and other liberals.

Oklahoma, Nebraska, Utah, and Alaska got it right -- none of our counties went for Kerry! :)

Your Blue state by county is great.

It is obvious the MSM decided to label us as the Red states. If they had labeled the lefty states as Red, we know how we would have responded.

Jeff, things are so much in flux right now, I think it is literally impossible to even approximate what will happen next. We have many factors against us. The educational system has now produced two generations of people unable to do basic rational analysis. The media and academia are still outright socialist in their philosophy, and have now decided that they are perfectly prepared to use fraud, deceit, and even violence and threat of violence to perpetrate their point of view. Even Republican government has fallen for many of the tenets of the welfare state.

Balancing that are some interesting positive factors. This administration has more room to make dramatic change than any since Roosevelt. Even more than Reagan, who had to deal with a Democratic-majority House. We could see Social Security privatization to dodge that financial crisis. We could see a Supreme Court that is reconstituted to serve as a final barrier against fruther encroachments to freedom, and even roll back some of the more egregious examples such as CFR.

Also, the Democratic Party is close to meltdown. They have survived for decades by banding special interest groups together, each of which got a share of an ever-increasing government pie. But that topped out a while back as taxpayers saw total tax loads on the middle class rise above 40%. There's a sense in this nation now that says "That's enough! It's too much! I don't care how many good ideas you have for schools and healthcare, you can't have any more of my money, and you ought to start thinking about giving some of it back." So the special interest groups must now fight over a fixed or decreasing pie, and that puts them in competition with each other. Such a composition of the Democratic Party is not stable.

There are symptoms of these problems. Kerry was an awful candidate, but he was better than any of the Democratic alternatives. Their bench is pitifully thin. When you see adulation of a first-term senator with no federal experience whatsoever (Obama), just because he's the only guy in the party with any charisma, you can tell how truly desperate they are.

They also threw everything but the kitchen sink into the election this time. Will Soros put up another $30 million next time? Will Micheal Moore come up with a movie bashing the next Republican presidential candidate that anyone will actually watch? I doubt it.

Finally, the old media is in it's last hurrah. They are now discredited, losing viewers, and an entire generation of frauds is due to retire. The new media is rising to take their place, and incidentally to keep the old media honest. So the manipulation of public opinion in favor of liberal candidates is at its height - it can only decline from here.

I was convinced in the late 70s that we had reached the point of no return, and the decline to a socialist welfare state with a horrible economy, no opportunity, and gradually decreasing freedom was inevitable. But Reagan reversed the slide for a while. So I have not given up hope, though the fight will be a long and difficult one.

You are correct, practically half of the voters do not like Bush or his agenda. The voters who voted for Kerry did not vote for him because they liked him, they either voted against Bush, or for some pet cause like abortion, gay marriage, stem cell, taxing the rich, protecting jobs, against the war, ......

Kerry, the candidate did not project leadership, or conviction. Bush did. That is the summary of what took place on Nov second.

We should be spending the next four years convincing the young voters, through actions and outreach, that the scare tactics of the left regarding a military draft are nothing more than lies; that the GOP has a plan to privatize social security so that their retirement is secure; and that service to country, be it in the military or otherwise, is honorable and deserving of our respect.

Our biggest problem with this group will be combating the misinformation campaign of the left. Thing is, after 8 years, we should have lots of concrete proof to win them over with.

THANK YOU!!! These maps are more like it!!!

Looks like Chicago and East St. Louis controlled the color of IL. LA and the Gay Area controlled the color of CA but Earl Warren and the Supremes laughingly ruled 45 years ago that "Cows Don't Vote!"

The amazing thing-look at NY and PA. The majority of the state voted for Bush!! New York City and Philadelphia basically disenfranchise the rest of those states.

I sometimes think that if every state split their EV's like Maine, that it would work even better. As we know, a popular vote alone would make the cities control flyover country. Well PA has it's own little flyover country between Pittsburgh and Philly that gets overblown by the Dems in the cities.

Plus, splitting votes would seriously lessen the impact of voter fraud in Philadelphia. Instead of turning all 21 EV's to the Democrats, it may turn 3 or 4 worst-case, unless the fraud could be placed in every precient statewide which would be difficult to do.

"My biggest concern is the fact that over 55 million people voted for Kerry."

That is my concern also, besides his family and staff who I knew would vote for him, who are these millions of others.

LOL

I got to work at the polls again, just remember one thing...provisional ballots are for people who are too DUMB to register and vote legally!
