Of course, we could have done it a lot earlier on election night but for "Boy Genius" Karl Rove. It's absurd that the election was as close as it was. If Rove is "the architect" – as Bush called him in his acceptance speech – then he is the architect of high TV ratings, not a Republican victory.

I agree. That should have had press conferences setting the record straight. The onslaught went on way, way too long without being answered. Their own movie should have been out immediately after Moore's. We knew a year ahead of time that he was making his hit piece.

I really think that this might have been part of Roves strategy. This constant Bush bashing worked against the Dems and I think fostered a real anger among not only Christian conservatives but also good Americans. In my opinion, this anger is what motivated many people to get out and vote. I have only praise, respect and a profound sense of gratitude towards Karl Rove.

If Rove did - then I am disappointed that President Bush allowed himself to be had - by Rove and the major media. I think people in Washington D.C. need to do what they did during the election - get out across the nation and find out for themselves how the people are feeling. They will never find out from listening to the major media - I hope they figure that out soon -
Now if we can only find out who is giving President Bush the bad advice on the illegals issue - Is that Rove also?

I think they ran this campaign exactly the way they needed to. With Bush under constant attack they had to give as little ammunition as possible to be used against them. By taking the high road Rove and the Republicans thwarted most of what could have been self inflicted pain. All along they could have run stuff like the Kerry picture with the upside down flag, went after his medical records, repeated showings of his congressional testimony. This was a near perfect execution of a campaign IMHO

I suggest you don't think that Ken Mehlman and Ralph Reed and therefore, their boss, Karl Rove, had nothing to do with this.

I'm guessing she suffers the right-wing equivalent of what 99% of Dems think on the left... namely, that Democrats are sooo stoopid that any Republican candidate should be able to blind them with science. But I think she underestimates the commitment to socialism on the left.
Then again, maybe she's never happy because men are... oh never mind.
Bush probably could have put the war hero away weeks ago if he had not taken the high road. That took a lot of confidence for Bush and Rove not to get into the gutter with Kerry and the Democrats.
I did not agree with that tactic, but in the end it worked out OK! I have always thought that fighting fire with fire is not such a bad idea. The Bush team won this time, barely, but the left will not let that happen again.
It won't happen again.
This campaign was ugly at times courtesy of the Democrats. We can and should anticipate much worse down the road.
too close for comfort to play rope-a-dope if you ask me. if we had lost Ohio, Kerry would have won.
