What's WSJ doing running intereference for the MSM?
Isn't this kinda B.S. since it was bloggers who debunked the leaked exit poll data?
Nobody who'd been reading right-wing blogs would have put any stock in the flawed data.
This was a fraud committed by the Kerry Camp....Rush spoke of this today.
Sure, don't blame Democrat operatives. Blame bloggers.
Let's see ... ALL of the media gets together and forms ONE and only one organization to come up with their projections. No second opinions, nothing to challenge their assumptions. I know I saw the train wreck coming. What amazes me is that they could not.
This is my favorite part. Talk about flushing what little reputation you had left.....
There is NO ACCOUNTABILITY in the Democrats from bottom to the top of their rotting fishhead.
> ... "insiders" with access to exit-poll data ...
No doubt the same insiders with access to the secret data
on which polling places would be used for data collection.
Data they carelessly shared with buddies who directed gangs
of Dem activists to head to those locations and pretend to
be voters.
Polling is now in the cesspool, and it will stay there
until the pollsters come clean about why the numbers
were so screwed to begin with, regardless of how the
Kerry kamp managed to get them published.
Blaming some mythical bloggers ain't gonna cut it.
From post: "THE WALL STREET JOURNAL ^ | 11/4/04 | JESSE DRUCKER and GLENN R. SIMPSON "
Is this paper turning Left - or only some of their writers -
I heard on a news program today - the Kerry/Edwards people told their supporters to vote early - then to find the people who put out the exit polls -
If so - the reasons behind the action would be interesting to hear - Lots of motives come to mind -
But now we meet screeches of, "The bloggers are to blame!" and we, too, are tarred with the same brush.
Now this is bothersome, to be sure; we used the net to FIGHT the fallacious exit polls, we didn't promulgate them. But another effect of this slight is that elites will take their eyes off us once again; we're not to be listened too, see?
Well, that's good --that's the lofty arrogance that got us started, and that's the snooty elitism we need to keep going. I, for one, am not going to stop and I don't think you are going to, either.
So police up your gear and get ready for the next round --this is fun!
And remember Reagan's words, "There is no limit to a man's potential as long as he doesn't care who gets the credit..."
The first wave of exit-poll data, compiled by a media-owned consortium called the National Election Pool, went out to subscribers at about 2 p.m. The consortium consists of the five big purveyors of TV news plus the Associated Press.
So the excuse is -
"We created the bad numbers, and gave them to the insiders, and said SShhh don't tell anyone about these inaccurate numbers "
... ????
Those polls were cooked. It's that simple. And if the web hadn't been handy for disseminating the info, I'm sure the Kerry campaign would've found another way to get it out. What I want to know is if the pollsters were in on it, too, or if Kerry's people found out where the polling was to be done and stacked the polling places with useful idiots.
IT WAS NOT THE BLOGGERS. It was the KERRY CAMPAIGN WHO LEAKED THE INFO. And .. the company hired by the MSM to conduct the exit polls is an old former employee of CBS/NYT. If you add in Joe Lockhart .. I'm sure you can connect the dots.
They can blame this blogger...I was warning anyone who would listen the exits were bogus and to just turn off their radios and tv's and vote or make sure someone else is going to vote.
As we see yet again, many more conventional wisdoms bit the dust and the biggest was "high voter turnout helps Democrats". HA!
Overall, Bush increased his vote total by 17.5% from 2000 while Kerry got 9.3% over Gore's total. Bush only lost votes in three states (CA, AK, WA) but Kerry lost votes also in CA and WA (population shifts?). I was surprised to see Bush down 16,000 votes from 2000 in Alaska.
Bush's closest state he won was New Mexico with +10,164 and the closest state he lost was NH with -9,171.
???if my guy is leading big time i don't have to vote??? is this what they mean?
Rats blamed the internet, but it was Kerry's team that did it.
I am not being nasty or hurtful when I say I think there was a lot of gnashing of teeth and panic around here when the exit poll stuff was first leaked. Enough kept there cool and were able to prove how skewed those polls were. Shame on Fox for not having the guts or honesty to do their homework. And shame on Drudge for running with such an unproven planted hoax of a story.
