Incredibly slow learners aren't they, I mean it only took this one 36 years?

This person terrifies me . . . because, at one level, he gets it. If all of them "got it," they might have a credible party.
At another level, though, it should be obvious that NO PARTY that hates guns, normalizes homosexuality, breeds on appeasement and pacifism, can EVER be a true "national" party.
Zell, come to our party!

"D-Day as it were - an all or nothing gambit designed to capture the beach and sweep into Washington, putting Conservatives on the run."
HEY! Thats mine, I was the one who called for storming the polling places like they were the beaches of Normandy.

Brilliant deduction, dear writer. While you're cutting, cut your citizenship papers and move to France.

The mainstream of this country does not support equality for all, secularism, public assistance, environmentalism, etc. Nor do they abhor the things I do. I do not represent this country. It isn't mine, and never was. Perhaps that's a defeatist attitude, but I find it hard to fight for something that firstly isnt mine to start with and secondly that has no intersection with my personal values. But places like Cuba, North Korea and Vietnam think like you. Go move there for a while.
I just have to laugh at "equality for all" - except for affirmative action, quotas, minority set asides, minority scholarships, diversity hiring programs, etc.

No fool, the country does not adapt to you. You fool, YOU adapt to IT. If you don't like it here, there are plenty of homosexual, environmental, peace loving, socialist/communist led countries you can easily move to. But, then you might not get to open your socialist mouth there as you can here. Loser. YOU LOST! Live with it. OR BETTER YET, CHANGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's time to wake up and smell the political coffee: WE ARE OUT OF THE MAINSTREAM. The 'Pubs have been telling us this for years and we constantly scoffed and said they were wrong. But it turns out they were right: they weren't trying to job us with political rhetoric, they were trying to help us understand what was happening. In other words, they were simply stating facts and we didn't believe them for DECADES.

The mainstream of this country does not support equality for all...Tell Condi Rice that. Tell the increase in Black and Hispanic voters who went for Bush that. Tell the thousands who still flock to America that. See what you get as a response...
I find it hard to fight for something that firstly isnt mine to start with and secondly that has no intersection with my personal values.
I hear Kool-Aid can help you...

I feel a sense of peace, too, but in the universal way. As if the air has been let out of the Left. As that post mentions, MILLIONS of dollars, calls, doors, people went into BEATING BUSH, and they failed. Must be a bitter pill, but I think we may have some calm now. Maybe these calls for "unity" might actually come to pass, as the more intelligent (I know, hard to find) Lefties will realize that all the moaning and whining and name-calling in the world won't undo Nov. 2, nor will it ensure NEXT Nov. 2. I think they learned their lesson. Now it's time to move on.

I hope that person is being honest and serious, albeit deluded.
If he truly believes this...GOOD! Now get out of the way (or join us), and let the forces of freedom and morality advance unhindered by your selfish pathological ideology.

Well, it looks like I'm going to be donating my screename for their cause. If anyone is a Small Voice in the Wilderness, it's this person. Of course, he may not exist any longer. Reality is not an option at DU.

>>The mainstream of this country does not support equality for all..
That's a crock. We support "All men are equal under the law", but we do not support "All men are equal by law". A man is what he makes of himself.

It would be interesting if a real Democrat wrote this. If it is then this guy was drinking truth serum. This guy hit it right on target and hopefully many of the Dems will have this defeatist attitude but I am not holding my breath.
The Dems will get even crazier and more radical. They will not admit their mistakes and they will continue to lie, attack, cheat and do whatever it takes to win elections. They think it is their right.
We have to continue to "fight the good fight", pray and do the right thing. If we continue to do this the Dems will continue to be defeated. If the Republicans end of going the moderate route just to try to get approval from MSM and the world, the Republicans will start to lose elections ( see (FLASHBACK) Secrets of the "Reagan Democrats--DEJA VU 2004 ).

I would imagine it's the same sense of acceptance a "guest worker" feels. I'm in this country mainly for a job. If I had the wherewithal to go someplace else, I probably would. Maybe we could all donate a dollar for his plane ticket to France or Sweden.

I agree with the notion that this gets it on one level. The 36 year bit. The part that annoys me is the sense of resignation of participation in the Republic and society. During Carter and Clinton I felt distanced from the MSM view of what America was, but I still participated.
What this 'crat seems to be saying is, "I now get it. I don't fit and I'm absolved for civic and personal responsibility because I'm not who this country is". Pretty silly when you think about it.
Ciao

The writer says "The portrait of America for the past three decades or more has basically looked the same. And I have never been in that portrait."
Well, he's getting close to understanding the truth. But he needs to realize it's not just the last three decades....but the last twenty decades! He's out of touch with America because he's never understood what Americas was built on!

The Karl Rove ground-game vs. the 527/George Soros effort.
No contest.
