Cheer up dude, there are a lot of countries out there that embrace Homosexual marriage (Unlike Bill Clinton and John Kerry) and love the Kyoto treaty (Unlike John Kerry and unlike Bill Clinton for 7 years, 363 days of his term).

I urge you to grab your passport, catch the next magic bus to Toronto and never look back.

If you're not a liberal by the time you're 20, you have no heart.

I always have hated that quote. I remember reading William F Buckley's "Up From Liberalism" in college when I was 20.

The mainstream of this country does not support equality for all, secularism, public assistance, environmentalism, etc.

I almost thought they "got it". Apparently they havent really listened or looked. George Bush's cabinet and government appts. have been one of the most inclusive of any other president in regards to men, women, races, ethnicities. Big overlook. George Bush embraces people of all faiths, showing support of both Israel and Iraqi freedoms...how diverse can you get? As for public assistance, the belief in handouts or the I am entitled thinking is outdated, outmoded, and doesnt work. Providing for education, and self support, enpowerment of self, is a far more effective and proficient ideal. Ah but that would take effort on their own part and an investment of their self into their own future.
Come into reality...open your eyes...and quit the whining.

Let's be brutally honest here: we (liberals, Democrats, whatever) haven't won an election by majority since 1976 and Jimmy Carter. Clinton never had a majority, only a plurality.

If it hadn't been for Ross Perot, slick willie would have never had a chance of being elected. He took more votes from the Republican tickets in each election, than Ralph Nader has had in all his runs put together.

Given all the other platitudes expoused, this one statement contaminates the entire message.

Kerry winning Exit Polls - FRAUD LOOKS PROBABLE

SoCalDem has done a statistical analysis...

...on several swing states, and EVERY STATE that has EVoting but no paper trails has an unexplained advantage for Bush of around +5% when comparing exit polls to actual results.

In EVERY STATE that has paper audit trails on their EVoting, the exit poll results match the actual results reported within the margin of error.

So, we have MATCHING RESULTS for exit polls vs. voting with audits

vs.

A 5% unexplained advantage for Bush without audits.

Maybe Dubayah believes God will see him through this, but it's going to take more than blind faith to pull the wool over the data and the facts.

This person terrifies me . . . because, at one level, he gets it. If all of them "got it," they might have a credible party.

I'm with you, LS. May the RAT party continually NOT "get it"! And yes: Zell, we welcome you with open arms! :-)

Bah. I'm sure that was done by a FReeper troll.

Baloney! No freeper I know would write: The mainstream of this country does not support equality for all, secularism, public assistance, environmentalism, etc.

I've read some DUmmies though- they think we support the institution of marriage, not because it is the very foundation of sociecty, but because we have the need to "look down on someone".

I would say it is we who more honestly support "equality for all". We support protecting the environment- but not confiscating someone's property because a kangaroo mouse was alledged to have scurried acrossed it. We don't flatter ourselves into believing that we can destroy all life on earth with a can of hairspary. In short, our brains function.

The mainstream of this country does not support equality for all, secularism, public assistance, environmentalism, etc. Nor do they abhor the things I do.

No, this individual still doesn't "get it". Like most liberals, this person fails to see that they have defined this terms, and have given them black and white definitions...

Now after that epiphany.....leave America, the country that LEFT you out in the cold, and find life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness elsewhere. Whichever country you choose I am sure would welcome you HOME.

Finally a leftist that realizes THEY are the minority and their values are NOT this NATIONS.

The only thing this person has wrong is that this nation was founded on those very principles that put him/her out of the mainstream

The Military...

If anyone in the military voted for bush after all that has gone on and they die in combat, then I say tough shit and I piss on their grave. They asked for it and they got it. I still have empathy for those who are at war and voted against bush though.

Actually, Carter portrayed himself as a moderate Southern "New Democrat." So much so that he never got along with the Northern liberal establishment and even drew a primary challenge from Ted Kennedy.

No liberal Democrat has one since Lyndon Johnson in 1964.

The reason for that is the liberal wing decided to split the party in 1968-1972 and hand power over to the McGovern liberals and in foreign affairs to adopt an appeasement, isolationist policy. The Dims made things worse when they tied their party to the albatross of unrestricted abortion. All that drove conservatives and moderates out of the party, which hasn't had majority support since.

Nice to see at least this guy has finally figured out he's in the minority. Now he might try to figure out why.

This guy stands for killing 3000 innocent babies every single day. He stands for homosexuality. He stands for changing Independence day to Interdepence Day. For placing the life of a spotted owl over the life of a human being. For Millions of Illegal Aliens to be allowed to swarm over our border and then giving them more social services and amnesty.

Yep, America does not and will not stand for that.

Sometimes you have to tear down the old rotted shell of a structure before you can build the shiny new building. If the DU post is for real (if I could remember my old DU password, I'd be there amplifying what this guy said!) then what we're seeing is a person who represents the day after the wrecking ball came.

It is precisely this sort of person President Bush needs to reach out to, to show him and his kind a new way to have faith in being an American. I disagree with the President on many things (practically all of us can find something to differ with him on) but I still regard his leadership as something positive for America. If we extend the olive branch of friendship to those who have come down from the Rat high, perhaps we can help them rebuild their character. In their hearts, they know the Left would never do it for one of us, if things had gone the other way.
