So now that its pretty much over, what next? (another shameless vanity:)

What needs to be done

Although Bush's first term tenure was imperfect, it was still, by any objective measure, a clear success. A decent economy, relatively low unemplyment and two middleastern terrorist states turned into democracies by steady stable leadership. By contrast his opponent was a waffling indecisive fraud. This election shouldn't have been close, but it was. The reason? The media. And while our side has made significant and important strides with Fox News, talk radio and bloggers, many of these just reach those who are already converted, while the middle of the road undecided watch the Dan Rather's of the world.

Until this problem is addressed I think we all know too well that any republican who runs for office from now on will not just have to beat his or her opponent but also the MSM propaganda machine. I'm not sure what can be done to combat the media but something needs to be.

What shouldn't be done

George W. Bush is a decent man, perhaps up to, and maybe even beyond a fault. I think when he came to town he had visions of working with the democrats in a climate of mutual respect as he did in Texas. Unfortunately he was in for a rude surprise. Bush treated the democrats nicely and with respect. What did he receive in return? The nastiest most vicious and hateful four year the democrats could muster. And I don't think their jihad is about to abate any time soon.

I'm sure that Bush will continue to be the decent respectable person he is. And of course he should be. However, its time to realize that working with the democrats is never going to happen. Nor should it. And its time to reward those who helped make these next four years happened. Its time to pursue an uncompromising conservative agenda.

This election shouldn't have been close but it was because of the MSM. IMO Our side needs to think of better ways to fight it.

IMO we should all try to put pressure on the administration not to "reach out" to democrats. It's time to pursue the agenda of those who made this second term happen. Its time to pursue a solidly conservative agenda.

Its a tough world out there but every now and then the good guys still win one:) Congratulations President Bush.

Another top priority - review all voter registration rolls, purge the ghosts, and make sure at the next elections that there are two 'pub watchers aty all 'rat polling places to prevent voter fraud.

Yes, with the conservative mandate, there should be a wholesale dismantling of government along with a purge of Clinton leftovers in every branch of govt.

Impeachment of liberal judges had damn well better be on the agenda.

SS reform.

Tax cuts.

Spending cuts.

For starters.

You're right, but I'm not going to hold my breath.

His first term should give us an indication of what to expect. If anything, Bush may end up further to the left during his second four years than his first as he no longer has to worry about re-election & motivating a conservative base.

The RAT's heads are spinning. They are seething with hatred. Bitterness. They are so controlled by immorality that they never considered that the rest of America was sick and tired, vexed, by the culture of death, the crass babykillers, perverts, and socialist leeches who are taxing us to death for social experimentation designed to undermine the fabric of our nation. The forces of darkness have taken a big hit, praise be to God. The President has a clear mandate from the people of the United States. We need to pray for our President. The threat upon his life is huge.

There's been a quiet issue that Bush is markedly different on than Kerry and that is space exploration. Bush has set NASA on the path to return to the moon and then Mars. This vision has a legitimate shot at happening now.
