McCain/Giuliani or Giuliani/McCain could win because they would hold the Bush states and pick off some Kerry states, depending on turnout. I'm a bit concerned about whether they are conservative enough to motivate the base. That remains to be seen. I would rather have them than Hillary though. That would motivate me.

Yep....but the swifties are the main ones who opened folks eyes and got lots of folks to the polls. No one wanted an absolute known TRAITOR in the WH.

Norm is great, but no national appeal. Few outside of Minnehaha know him.

Rudy will undergo an epiphany, a deep spiritual conversion, will have his prior marriages annulled, will become a "good" Catholic again and marry his present wife in the RC church (after she gets her annullment as well) will eschew his liberal views and take tutoring from Rick Santorum, and voila! he becomes acceptable to the conservative base of the GOP. Right after pigs fly.

Jeb in `08... even if he has to be DRAFTED. Not a chance. The GOP leadership all avoided the draft.

Don't forget Colorado gov. Bill Owens. I think he is going to make a great candidate for President. But Rudy and McCain won't just sit there.

I agree about Jeb. But the lib bitchers/whiners/carpers/ will scream we don't need royalty. I disagree. Jeb is loved in FL more than big bro. Let's not be talkin about no senators. They never get elected. Don't know how.

I'm thinking it would be too early for Jeb Bush to run. Hopefully it will be Rudy or someone with magnatism like that.

I dunno. He's got 4 years to make himself nationally known.

If Cheney does step down, it has to be someone from the Senate to take over.. That person could be Frist... Why? It could be someone from the House or a governor or anyone.
