One of my subcontractors on this year's project is "Sharma & Associates". I cringe every time we get on a conference call and hear someone call them "Charmin Associates".
One of my family treasures is a deguerrotype picture (photo emulsion on copper and mounted on a small piece of glass) of my great great grandfather in his Union Army uniform. He served from 1863 to 1865. Deguerrotype exposure times had improved to about 1 minute by that point in time. Barely adequate for a portrait, but at least tolerable.
"Japan has been considering ways to boost its maritime defenses after a shoot out with a suspected North
Korean spy ship in December 2001."
But in this incident by the location (southern Okinawa) it is more likely China's sub.
i wonder what they're fishing for?
No ill intent to our Canadian FReepers, but those unhappy Americans might want to rethink whether they want to live in a terrorist breeding ground with Sharia law.
***Grinning****
This is the Islamic version of what I posted yesterday from a Canadian source as "unverified."
Great. How would you like to kind of look at a site or 2, check in ever so often to pick out the key words?
If so, FReepmail me and I'll point the way.
Thanks DC.
MD, some of it sounded familiar, but the part about the 10 female soldiers was new to me, especially since I don't think they would have sent any women into Fallujah. (I could be wrong on that one).
Let me see that...yep, I've seen that gallery before.
Thank you Lahargis.
On the time stamp, it could be anywhere in that region, since it's all pretty much under the same time zone (I believe). As far as the correspondence goes, I would assume that they are pretty paranoid, given the nature of their perversion, and watch each other very closely. The fact that Tigger is giving out info, key or not, also means that they're not the disciplined, hardened cadres that many would like us to believe they are. More likely, they're egotistical little pukes who in a normal society would be sporting "skateboarding is not a crime" stickers and whistling ineffectually at women they have no hope of ever winning.
Don't know how relvant this is, but....
PORT DARLINGTON, Ont. (CP) - Explosions that sent debris into the air "like rockets" and a blaze at what was believed to be a propane company forced the evacuation of about 5,000 people late Tuesday, police said.
PORT DARLINGTON, Ont. (CP) - Exploding gas tanks that went off "like rockets" and a blaze at a propane company forced the evacuation of hundreds of people late Tuesday, police said.
The fire near the waterfront in the community east of Toronto could be seen for miles and the explosions rocked homes in the area. "There was one big mushroom cloud followed by a series of smaller explosions, like somebody attacking something," said F. Harris, a resident in nearby Bowmanville. "You could see these things shooting into the air like rockets. The house was shaking."
Initially, it was feared that up to 5,000 people would be forced from their homes, but police later put the number at "hundreds."
Sgt. Paul Malik, a Durham police spokesman, said late Tuesday that the "area is completely evacuated right now. They (firefighters) are trying to determine how close they can get to the facility. No one has been injured."
"Hundreds (of evacuees) would be right at the particular time.
"It's still a really hot fire."
Tanks were still exploding nearly three hours after the fire started but Malik said the blaze "is somewhat controlled."
The fire also caused a power failure in the south end of Bowmanville.
Provincial police closed Highway 401, a major east-west corridor, for a few hours after reports that pieces of propane tanks were landing on road which runs near Lake Ontario.
Agnes Jones of Bowmanville lives about a five minute drive from a marina and adjoining two-storey hotel that is near the propane company.
"It sounded like a bunch of explosions, like hunters firing guns, except that the house was shaking."
The fire was about five kilometres east of the Darlington nuclear generating facility.
