In my precinct in southern Forsyth county, we had 60% voting (1300+/2200) by 2pm with a big rush expected late in the afternoon. History shows that this county votes 80-90% Republican. In fact, I only saw one Democrat on the local portion of the ballot.

I'm am worried about the cheeriness I saw on the faces of Judy Woodruff and her pollster on CNN. They were talking about exit poll data.

Turned in Republican voters! I suppose you voted for Kerry, too?

Hello neighbor. Hubby and I voted in Tyrone (Fayette County). Long line, but moved quickly. Took about 30-40 minutes. All IDs thoroughly checked, as usual. Also, son voted for the first time (!) by absentee ballot down in South Georgia - so that's 3 votes for GWB.

Alot of the turnout is because of the Gay Marriage thing. My soldier wife and I voted easily this afternoon at about 3:30 but we passed a polling place near our house that was absolutely packed to the rafters and had cars parked alongside the road for almost a mile.

Two wrongs don't make a right. She did the right thing.

Down here in Savannah everything is going well. Long lines as I was taking my daughter to school at 7:30, but I voted at 2 and was in and out fast.

A few weeks ago my daughter's Catholic high school had mock elections, Bush won. A week prior, the students were putting up campaign signs around the school. My daughter printed out pics we had saved from FreeRepublic that skewered Kerry, wrote Bush/Cheney 2004 along the margins, and hung them up around school. The local paper had an article on the lead-up to their elections, and there was Miranda's poster - John Kerry for President of France !!!! LOL !!!

Voted earlier today in NE Cobb County, which is totally GOP and GWB. Got there approx 10:45 expecting it to be the sloow time...waited 45 minutes total. That is good news. The people seemed upbeat and motivated...lots of Bush talk, even in line. Our congressional candidate (Tom Price) and many of the State Reps ran un-opposed.

On the way home, we saw some Kerry supporters (approx 6-8) standing on Hwy 92 near an intersection with signs...my wife and I doubled back around and made a left turn so we could pass right next to them...we honked and gave a double thumbs down...they looked defeated...the car next to us yelled "You tell 'em" in support...

It's great to be a conservative in GA. Hey, you up there in the Northeast and MD and MN and MI and IL...get with it!

GA will be putting up some of the first big EC votes tonite for The President...NC and GA and SC are 37 EC votes, which cancels out NY and at least 1 or 2 other dinky Northeast liberal states! Yahoo!

Howdy back!

Good for your son!

And God bless GWB!

May we prevail.

Vigilant! - These were Bush supporters. If the NAACP poll watcher didn't spot them then why should eyespy? Every vote counts, and maybe those shirts supporting Republicans would've garnered a couple extra undecided votes inside the polling places! That's it, eyespy, since you're so anti-Republican today I'm not coming home. I'll just stay at work all night.

:-) I'm just teasing eyespy ... I thought it was funny that as a Republican poll worker the only violations she saw were from Republicans. Plus, I wanted everyone to know that she'll stab a Republican in the back in a heartbeat over something as ridiculous as ethics.
