I just heard a lady on Rush who was driving 6 hours to Las Vegas to vote because she didn't get her ballot at her new address.

They don't like the fact that they don't hear from "these fools" - (their words again) for 3 1/2 years and all of sudden when it's time for the "Black Vote" they appear mysteriously in our churches.

Very good point!

Welcome to FR, btw!

Voted around 4EST. Lots of Kerry bumper stickers, must have caught the teacher crowd. Had a steady crowd no line.

DELRAY BEACH

Went to my east Delray Beach polling place at about 2:30. Nothing much out of the ordinary. Skerry people on one side of the lot B/C on the other. Clown w/ a Republicans for Kerry t-shirt spotted. Crowd looked right leaning but one can be hard pressed to tell in Palm Beach county. I did spot the typical elderly Northeasterner transplant w/ the Kerry sticker.

To the folks in the Panhandle...this is your enemy (South Florida NE transplant) and there are a great deal of them down here... you'll have to get out and vote early and often just like they do if we hope to have a chance.

I live in Duval County, one of the most conservative counties in America. Bush to Kerry yard signs are about 1,000,000 to 1. I voted with my girlfriend and mom, who is slightly under the weather. Usually I walk right in and vote, but this morning it was full, but no long lines. My precinct is not one of the larger ones, but was pleased at the steady turnout I saw.

My girlfriend had a problem voting, a similar problem was related on Rush today. It seems her address was wrong on the voter rolls. She showed her ID and voter card, but still had problems. No way in Hell were we going to let them give us a provisional ballot. After about an hour of bickering and phone calls, she was allowed to vote after filling out a correct address form (which she filled out months ago at the Supervisor of Elections). The address that the voter rolls had for her was not even a real address. It is completely baffling how that could be. I suspect sabotage!

I'm getting a good feeling about the turnout in NE Florida. I think we will be the region of the country that puts President Bush over the top. God willing.

WE are doing the same and voting for Bush!!

I'm a native of South Florida, born in Miami, lived in Hollywood 42 yrs., now residing in Belleview, FL.

I voted in Ocala on October 23 with no lines. My husband voted October 30 and there were 40 people in line. My best friend went same day and yet more people were in line. Several co-workers relayed that 100+ were in line at times.

As an observation on early voting, it seemed that some voted in the first week, then more in the second week, then the onslaught came over this past weekend.

Today, my 83yr old mom, an old time southern Dixiecrat, a WWII veteran who served in North Africa and Italy in Gen. Mark Clark's 5th Army, is voting in Gilchrist County, Florida. She is eager to vote for President Bush. She's just loves "W" and as a veteran, she fully supports the war not only with her words, but with her vote.

I challenge all democrats who love this country to do the same.

BTW, as a formerly registered democrat who switched to registered Republican right after the 1996 election, I rarely voted democrat.

I disliked Carter immensely, thought Dukakis and Mondale were doofuses and after reading tons on Clinton/Gore while they were candidates, I had to move into the light.

Symbolically for me, my votes for Reagan, Bush 41, and Dole during the 80's and 90's were an "in your face" to the democratic party prior to getting around to changing to Republican. And holy of unholies, I made the switch in Broward County. Hehehe!

REPORTING FROM MY PINELLAS COUNTY MOBILE HOME BLUE-HAIR PRECINCT. I visited with www.moveon.org for quite some time. In that precinct, their people were "mellow" and very friendly. As a matter of fact, the move on chick said that she didn't think she'd participate for move on in the future and that if Bush won, she'd be okay with it.

Her sub showed up. The sub older woman didn't know John Kerry's middle name which I told her and she didn't know why I was waving a big scarf that had W04 printed on it. I explained to her that's what Bush supporters call him "W". FOR FUN, I WORE MY I VOTED STICKER ON ONE TRICEP AND MY W04 OVAL STICKER ON MY OTHER TRICEP (like tatoos). Now that was a hoot.

IMO, Moveon.org are mindless robots or aren't that enthused it appears after experiencing working for GEORGE SOROS. THEY WERE NOT SCARY, AT LEAST THE THREE I SPOKE TO. They did have a list that the one chick said wasn't really useful and it appeared there is a rigid chain of command under SOROS. I don't think move on will survive to infinity.

MEEKIE, the move on chick did say that she was happy that it snowed in Amarillo but that was as ugly as it got.

In St. Petersburg, FL, they had to cordone off a street and close a precinct because the cops were chasing a murder suspect. I don't know if they caught the suspect or not.

OLDSMAR, FLORIDA IN PINELLAS COUNTY: The touch screens were pre-selecting the Presidential choice for voters. It happened repeatedly. I hope they got it ironed out but if someone wasn't aware, they may have voted for KERRY without their knowledge.

The Hospice Jack Harris shills for in a radio spot is Terri's hospice and other hospices have a very low opinion of them as do I. Visit www.highway2health.net and get to know Ron Panzer who is with the Patients Hospice Alliance which is to promote and support good hospices.

Voted this afternoon in Highlands County. I rushed to the polls after a golf tournament, and got right in. By the time I finished marking the bubbles, there were at least ten people waiting in line for a booth, and each alpha grouping at the sign-in table was 3 deep. I recognized several voters as they were in the same golf tournament.

The county went for Bush in 2000, but every Democrat I knew was there I think. This was obviously a very heavy turnout in this precinct.

Whoa! Glad to hear your report. There's no such thing as a truly monolithic vote, is there?

And welcome to FR.

Just got back from voting - got to the precinct at 6pm. There were a lot of people there, the parking lot was full. I waited only about 10-15 minutes, because they had a lot of machines. One girl outside trying to hand out "voter's rights" cards. There were no takers when I was there. Saw my neighbors there doing their civic duty also - they are Bush supporters as well.

Incidently, my son's middle school voted today, and the results were Bush-145, Kerry-23 and "other"-19. This is indicative, I think, of their parent's voting habits, and it's encouraging - Bush with a slam dunk! (I'm in SW Florida - Lee County)

I worked at at poll yesterday in Brevard County FL. We had 3 precints - 2 heavily RAT - large AA neighborhoods and 1 favoring GOP. As expected the 2 RAT precints went for Kerry - other for Bush. Brevard is largely GOP.

I was able to see first hand just how the RATS were working at the polls. We had a female RAT atty there all day who was working with her cohort RAT atty (from NY) who was stationed outside herding in "just registered, never voted" residents from the black community. Our precint clerk was fair but tough, if the "new" voter was not on any book - a call to Supervisor of Elections office had to be made to determine if the "new" voter was in fact registered and had a voter registration #. Needless to say, the clerk and her deputy were on the phone most of the day. From the lenghth of time she was on hold, every polling place in the County must have had the same situation. If the "new" voter was not registered with the Supervisor, they were not allowed to vote DUH!! However, the RAT female atty. tried to bully the clerk into allowing them to vote with a provincial ballot.....this happened time and again. I have to give the clerk credit, she remained calm throughout every challenge. I, on the other hand, did not. I finally asked the RAT atty. who she worked for....she evaded the question by saying she was volunteering. I repeated the question 3 more times, she finally said she was working for Kerry. I asked her if she lived in FL...........no, she was from GA. I then asked her - not so calmly - why she thought she had the right to come into our state and try to tell us how to run our election. She started to give the RAT talking point of "everyone's vote counted, blah, blah". I then informed her if the RATS would stop trying to commit election fraud, none of us would have a problem.....and why was the RAT party afraid to let the elections run their course? I admit I was out of line - my only excuse is I was on a short break when I confronted her.

I am thoroughly disgusted with the RAT party - but then that's nothing new.
