Hmm. I wonder if it would be possible to organize a non-partisan orginization to act as a national voter verification service? I'm thinking a national computer net with an untouchable database (like those signature capture ones) of biometric identifiers to ensure everyone who shows up to vote is an eligible voter and votes ONCE.

USA Today reported that the U. S. Supreme court will not overrule the decision:

"Plaintiffs' appeals to the U.S. Supreme Court were unsuccessful. Early Tuesday, Justice John Paul Stevens, who handles appeals from Ohio, refused a request to stay the 6th Circuit decision." (http://www.usatoday.com/news/politicselections/state/ohio/2004-11-02-ohio-challengers_x.htm)

For all you fellow Ohio voters - when you finish voting turn that card over (mine had a pin -hole in one of the judge spots and a hanging chad). Check your ballots when you get done voting!

Now let us go forth and crush our foes and drive them before us amidst the lamentations of their women!

It will be a pleasure to hear Cameron Brown, Andrea Mitchell, and Susan Estrogen howling and lamenting tonight. I normally just turn the TV off when any of the Democrat female pundits (or male, for that matter) appear. It will be FUN watching them melt down tonight! I plan to be swilling champagne along about 10:30 or 11:00 because I believe the President will be so far ahead that it won't matter what CA, WA or OR do!

What I asked was, what does a poll watcher do?

Translated into English, it means, what does a poll watcher do.

I did not ask what is the purpose of a poll watcher.

I'm sorry if I am perceived as being rude, but one of my pet peeves in life is vague, abstract answers to simple, concrete questions.

I had one at my polling place today. When they couldn't find some man's name in the books, he got off his seat and walked up to the table and watched them until they found the correct page.

Sounds like a quality inspector's job on an assembly line.

But how would a poll watcher have any influence over double voting, unless someone tried to vote twice in the same precinct?

THANK GOD!

The LAW calls for this!

How they could ignore the law in the first place is a nasty mystery to me.

Pray BUSH WINS!
