Attended a Lawyers for Bush meeting today. All Pennsylvania Freepers, deliver the Republican vote and we will stop the RAT fraud vote in Philly. The race is a dead heat and the amount of contacts (Door knocking and phone calls) is phenominal. I would say what they were but I wouldn't want any trolls to get a heart attack. All I'll say is it will be more than 20 as many conacts as in 2000. Also, if you live near Blue Bell and have time tommorrow, BC04 needs people to knock on doors (and people to drve the knockers around)and make calls. Phone banks start at 9 a.m. door knocking around noon. Freepmail me if you can help and I will send the address back, I don't want RAT trolls showing up.

Yeah, the Murphy people are the only ones who have actual people call me, and not recordings. If John Kerry wants to contact me, he's been using a recording of Ed Rendell.

The Murphy campaign push-polled me about a month ago. The questions were laughable. "On a scale of 1 to 10, 10 being most likely, 1 being least likely, do the following statements make you more of less likely to vote for Jim Gerlach?
1) Jim Gerlach has voted with President a gazillion times to cut taxes for the wealthy.
2) Jim Gerlach has outsourced all of Berks County's jobs to poor foreigners who don't deserve them.
3) Jim Gerlach tortures children and kittens.......

I asked the guy who was paying him, as this clearly was not an honest poll, and he said he didn't know. He didn't sound very bright, so he might have been telling the truth. Nevertheless, I called him a liar and hung up.

The Eagles are playing with one hand tied behind their back without Brian Westbrook. Still think they'll beat the Steelers though.....

Thanks for the good news! I'll be taking half a day off tomorrow to work in Dauphin county, and then work election day in Lancaster county.
BTW, I thought it was very interesting to hear on WHP 580 talk radion that after Bush's Lancaster Co. rally last Thursday he met privately in a tent with Amish Elders for more than just a brief visit. This is at least the second time he has met with them, and with the horrendous schedule he had that day he must have felt it was worth his while.
I'll say again that there will be a large Anabaptist block voting for Bush this time who normally do not go to the polls. You are easily looking at a quarter of a million people in PA (that's a conservative figure, as most young adults who have not yet been baptized as church members are not counted in estimates). Not sure how many of that figure would statistically be age 18 & above, but I do know it's not small potatoes.
