This is horrible news, even though Rasmussen's numbers are randomly generated by a monkey on crack flinging pooh at the numbers 47, 48, and 49.

This is what I see happening.

FL is key, NH and HI put us over the top. This is a conservative senario for our side too, and it's very much doable.

No, but NH or HI could do it. I think NH could be a sleeper for us, and HI has shown us to be ahead in every recent poll. Skerry has a totally negative message, and I don't think that will play well out there and I don't care what the history of the state is.

That sure is cutting it close.. Just think - we lose HI and something worse than Clinton will be the President!

We want to ignore poll we don't like. Remember, there are lots of valueless, God hating, America hating, intellectually vulnerable parasites who vote in our country.

Lot of numbers to overcome as the other side knows how to get these morons to the polls.

I hope you are righ, under my senario we can win without them though. Having said that we should fight like hell to win them though. That picture just shows what kind of trouble Skerry is in with the college, I don't care what the polls say!

I agree--I don't think America is going to reward hate and anger. That is all the Dems have offered since Daschle obstructed this president to Howard Dean, Dick Gephardt, John Edwards and John Kerry offering nothing except horrible words for Bush..an otherwise very good and decent man.

Will America award them for this? I hope not!

Will America give in to the terrorists and elect Kerry? I hope not!

I think America is still smarter and wiser than that. Kerry has offered us nothing but hate for Bush. If America accepts that and choses that as President....well then you get what you pay for as the old tale goes.

You all aren't looking at this correctly.

Trends.

What's happening in Ohio? Bush has regained the lead in Zogby (up by 5) and the Cleveland Plain Dealer Poll has him up by 3.

LOOK where Kerry is at. He's TIED in Iowa, Pennsylvania, Florida, Minnesota, Hawaii, Michigan, and New Hampshire.

Essentially, Kerry needs to SWEEP all of those to win. C'mon folks!

These pollsters want us to believe that people are leaning towards sKerry after the OBL tape?

What did they put in their pipe?

My minimal scenario is similar, but the four electoral votes come from Delaware and one from Maine. I think that Delaware or New Jersey might be a big surprise. Hawaii would be surprising, except the pollsters have lowered expectations there now.

Lots of sKerry signs and enthusiasm here in NH. I hope you are right. I don't want to live in a blue state for four long years! Even though Bush will win I would struggle knowing that my State went Blue!

Yeah, but this is the absolute minimilists projection. We are bound to win at least one of MN, WI or OH which would make HI a moot point.
On a national vote I expect W to win handily. There is not much motivation for a big Demo turnout in MA, CA and NY. That's a lot of poorly motivated voters. While I expect Kerry will win MA, he won't win by much. Pubs here are motivated (we have candidates for a change!!) and the Dems don't really love Kerry. Expect heavy turnout by pubs and a less motivated turnout by dems.

Zogby's methods aren't quite so scientific.
