No, the answer SHOULD be no influence. And I believe it will, unfortunately, be a boost for Kerry because that's what the media wants. I only pray the public sees through it and sees OBL's weakness in this tape.
Don't play these games.

NEEDS FREEPING. The lefty lovers who follow CNN have skewed it out of reality already.
How will the bin Laden videotape affect the U.S. election?
No influence 36% 10047 votes
Boost for Bush 28% 7897 votes
Boost for Kerry 36% 9979 votes
Total: 27923 votes

I think that Osama's popularity in America will persuade enough voters to give Kerry the win ;)

This tape and it's airing on TV only helps Bush.
Why then did the Bush admin try to stop it's airing?
Could it be that Bush is further demonstrating that he puts certain things above personal or political gain?
The dems were scared to death that Bush would raise the terror level threat to sway swing voters. Bush could have, but didn't, and further more hasn't done so even in light of this new tape. OBL just did it for him, and now the dems are realizing their worse fears with no opportunity to cry foul!
I love it.

Probably not much. It's not getting a lot of play to the average voter. The news hit on Friday and most soccer moms disconnect from the world for the weekend. There is really a one-day window to turn soccer moms into security moms -- and a goodly number of them will fall for the "When I was in Vietnam..." li(n)e.

I agree that Bush did the right thing. But I wouldn't be so sure that it only helps Bush--there is a very delicate perception game here.

You're right. It is VERY odd, but hardly surprising.

Wrong.
I do not care what the pointy headed fools in the media want.
The image and voice of OBL only invokes memories of 9/11 and our fight on the WOT. It is a natural emotional reaction that the libnut spin can not overcome.
That helps teh President.
