Osama bin Laden, publicly injecting himself into the campaign four days before the presidential elections, said in a videotape broadcast yesterday that the United States can avoid another Sept. 11 attack if it stops threatening the security of Muslims.

We can also prevent another attack and get YOU to boot if we change the climate of selected cities in the ME and raise the temperature of them by approximately 5000 deg C one by one until YOU are turned over to us dead or alive.

Lets look at this logically,shall we?

We blasted the %^*(&^^%$$ out of Tora Bora.

Supposedly,OBL was very ill and has/had renal failure,which necessitated him to be on a dialysis machine.

In earlier tapes,one of his arms appeared to be useless,was limp,and immobile.

There was NO tape before WTC I,Somalia,the embassy bombing,the USS Cole bombing,nor the actions of 9/11;NONE!

There are NO threats,not even a hint of a threat,in this tape.Instead,what we have,if the translation is correct,is a simpering,"perfumed prince",mewling excuses,lies,propaganda tales right out of a Michael Moore script! Now,the Islamonazis,his usual audience,want and get RED MEAT .WHERE WAS THE RED MEAT? Where,for that matter,where all of the Koranic quotes,the praise allahs,etc.? NOWHERE!

Sooooooo,we are to believe that OBL is hale and hearty,completely refraining from spewing garbage from the Koran,and telling Americans that hes won't send out his flying monkeys again,if only,if only,if only WHAT? HE DOESN'T SAY!

1. Lose the towel. Replace it with a power tie.

Osama did what the Russians had done to Kennedy in 1961. After the Bay Of Pigs fiasco.

Tested the mettle of a newly elected President Bush and the US. After several acts against the US that could have been considered Acts Of war, but weren't. By the previous adminstration.

That all struck me as odd too. Yet another item is that OBL was always careful in previous tapes and texts to avoid actually admitting that he was involved in the 9/11 plot. And yet in this video, he does so without reservation.

I wonder if the real OBL is rotting in a bombed cave somewhere, and in a backroom at the CIA, they've been impersonating him and giving bogus orders to terrorists for the past few years. The recent video may have been necessary in order to reassure Al Qaeda minions that he really still exists. But the content definitely has a "written in America" feel to it (including some almost jokes at the peacenik's expense), and seems out of character compared to OBLs prior fanatical releases.

Plus, with the robe and turban and beard, it could be just about *anyone* on that tape. It wouldn't be hard to find a suitable "body double".

I agree with you. I think if it is OBL on the new tape,it's old outtakes taken who knows when. The voice? Just how many brothers and close cousins does OBL have? It could be any one of them-and one of them could even be OBL in the video as well as audio. I think he is dead-but alive or dead really is irrelevant, as islamofascism is much more than just OBL. It comes from certain verses in the koran, not from any thoughts of OBL.
