Osama bin Laden, publicly injecting himself into the campaign four days before the presidential elections, said in a videotape broadcast yesterday that the United States can avoid another Sept. 11 attack if it stops threatening the security of Muslims.

Drop dead.

In what appeared to be conciliatory language, bin Laden said he wanted to explain why he ordered the suicide airline hijackings that destroyed the World Trade Center and damaged the Pentagon so that Americans would know how to act to prevent another attack.

"To the American people, my talk is to you about the best way to avoid another Manhattan," he said. "I tell you: Security is an important element of human life and free people do not give up their security."

Freedom is another important element of human life, and we have a saying that those who trade freedom for security deserve neither.

We don't care to negotiate our freedom for security, especially security promised by the likes of you, UBL.

Nazi Germany was a much more powerful entity than you and your band of cowards......and they belong to the ashbin of history; as it shall be with you.

After the video was broadcast, President Bush said that "Americans will not be intimidated" by bin Laden.

Some will, most will not. Those who are not are those who will have the greatest impact in pressing the fight.

The video, broadcast on Al-Jazeera television, showed bin Laden with a long, gray beard, wearing traditional white robes, a turban and a golden cloak, standing behind a table with papers and in front of a plain, brown curtain.

Pregnant actors on TV often stand behind props. I wonder if he has any legs.

In the video, bin Laden accused Bush of misleading Americans by saying that the attack was carried out because al-Qaida "hates freedom." He said that his followers have left alone countries that do not threaten Muslims.

Properly phrased, it should read, "his followers have left alone countries that have conceded to Muslim threats." Not the way I would care to live.

Bin Laden suggested that Bush was slow to react to the Sept. 11 attacks, giving the hijackers more time than they expected. At the time of the attacks, Bush was listening to schoolchildren in Florida reading a book.

"It never occurred to us that the commander in chief of the American armed forces would leave 50,000 of his citizens in the two towers to face these horrors alone," he said, referring to the number of people who worked at the World Trade Center.

"It appeared to him (Bush) that a little girl's talk about her goat and its butting was more important than the planes and their butting of the skyscrapers. That gave us three times the required time to carry out the operations, thank God," he said.

Logic would dictate that you, Osama bin Laden, would be overjoyed at the prospect of four more years with an inept, bumbling president, as you suggest.

However, it is a transparent lie that most of us will see right through.

You prefer Kerry the Weak.......as do the rest of the miscreants of the world.

You'll have our answer soon enough.......check the papers after November 2nd.

"LOL. bin Laden ain't what he used to be. If he thinks the American people are gonna run scared and vote Kerry he is more delusional than we thought."

Complete agreement.

A. He used to be a somewhat healthy, degenerate, murdering camel-f**ker. Now he's an unhealthy degenerate, murdering camel-f**ker.

B. As you said, he's completely misread the will of the American people. Noone should be scared by this pathetic excuse of a camel-f**king bogeyman.

So we are to believe that because Bush was incompetent OBL was able to complete his mission. He should be praying for Bush's reelection then I suppose. Inasmuch as OBL's mission is to kill as many of us as possible, seems like Bush would be his man. But as Ben Franklin said(close paraphrase) Those who would trade freedom for security deserve neither. I don't think he understands, that we don't consider life with the jihadist sword at our neck either free or secure.

michael moore is binladen in a whale suit

Boy, do we ever need a cartoon of Binny getting into that whale suit! He's dressing up for the DNC convention, with an aide telling him how powerful and influential al-Qaeda still is, 'Praise be to Allah', to have gotten him a seat in the box and right next to Comrade former President Carter, even though Monsieur Moore had previously been declared persona non grata at the convention.

The aide could praise Binny for being a more shrewd patron of the arts, such that his theatrical budget portion of the food-for-oil graft paid off even better than Saddam's with Scott Ritter.
