This post is going to be copied for my mom. I really wish you hadn't done that.
Also, just to ease your mind, we talked to the election comission today and his vote will count.
God Bless America.
Tammy --- God bless him! He did you proud until the end.
Thank you. He was very glad to have been able to vote at the Barbara Bush Library.
My sister is here and she lives not far from the elder Bushes. she could get their address. I wonder if we should mail something to them instead?
The volume of mail at the White House must be overwhelming.
Yes, he did! Thank you.
I have more I'd like to say to you on your post but I'm going to stop my comments here and just say that I'm sad to hear this story. My prayers to the family.
Flyer, thank you for pinging the list for me. I had no idea of who to ping!
I'm so proud of my Dad. My Mom too. She looked so composed and pretty. She's a good lady!

You opened your mouth and stuck you A$$ in it. Should have left it at Deeply.
texasflower, I am sorry for your loss. Your Dad shows to the end what a true patriot is.
God bless you and your family.
Thank you both for addressing his lapse of judgement. That hurt a bit.
But all the other comments perked me right up.
God Bless You All.
Tammy
My condolences for your loss. Prayers for you and your family.
I am very sorry for your loss. God Bless your father. I missed the six o'clock news. Hopefully they will re-air this story on the ten o'clock newscast.
I'm sorry for your loss.
Condolences to you and your family.
What a wonderful tribute to a great American!
I'm sure the station will provide you with a copy of the piece if you ask.
I'll bet I would have enjoyed knowing your Dad! I can only hope that my own final days are graced with such purpose and dignity.
I suggest you just delete #12 before you copy the thread...
Thank you for your kind words. (and I think I'll follow your advice)
Even in death, we mean it when we say "Don't Mess With Texas!", don't we?!!
Dad wanted to keep our Texas President!

I live in the D/FW area. If there is a video link on this, I'd like to see it.I was really touched by the previous thread/story about your father.
What a man he was. May he rest in peace.
So sorry for your loss. He sounds like he was such a good man. One of his last wishes was to do something so many people don't even bother to do or take for granted.
There is a video link on the station's website. May have to register to see it.

My condolences to you and your family.
Your Dad is an inspiration to us all. Thank you for sharing this with us...it is, at once, touching and heart-wrenching, yet truly inspiring.
Particularly because I emigrated to this great country 22 years ago, I intend to have my kids read about your Dad, a true American, who teaches us, even now, the obligation that we all have as Americans.
Again, my thanks to you for posting this and my prayers are with you and your family in this side time.
