John Kerry: "Wake Up America, Wake Up..."

Today, John Kerry departed from his prepared remarks in Orlando, Florida to unleash a cry that can be summed up in one word: Desperation.
"Wake up America, wake up. ... You have a choice," he said.
Telling America to 'wake up' is not a message for the future, it is the cry of a flailing candidate who has no momentum and is reaching the end of the line.

We do have a choice. We can choose the leadership that President Bush offers or we can choose ... we can choose ... we can choose ... well, whatever's behind Kerry's door #2 today. I keep trying to figure out that is, but it's not real clear. I do know that it involves higher energy prices as he implements some version of the Kyoto treaty. Those energy prices will drive jobs from the country. I also know that it will involve less security as our enemies realize that he'll never lead any sustained effort against anything. However, the "plan" behind door #2 will be forever changing and usually wrong.

Well at least he didn't amalgamate his whole campaign into one sentence: "Wake up you Neanderthal, scumbag idiots who are out of your minds".
To: PhiKapMom
It isn't much of a stretch to expect to hear the Democrats change their phrasing from "wake up" to "rise up". Even Edward's wife concedes that Democrats may riot if they don't win.

We sure do have a choice, Monsieur Kerry-Heinz de Poodle,
and you ain't it.

The contrast between these two photos taken today speaks volumes:
Kerry departing his campaign plane:
President George W. Bush speaking to a crowd that greated him at Air Force One in Porthsmouth, NH:

Those pictures speak volumes! At this time in 2000, I was almost into nail biting time. Polls had started to tighten in Florida three weeks in advance and I was a nervous wreck.
My kids cannot get over the difference -- I am happy, relaxed and only get irritated at people that use the polls to get down. You can feel this victory in the President's enthusiam and in Kerry's Wake Up deal!
I cannot wait until Tuesday is over and we have President Bush for four more years and Kerry is a big loser! Someone said even CA polls are starting to tighten. Maybe you guys will have a November surprise for the rest of the Country -- I can always hope! :)

It is real -- he is speaking at the airport -- not spending much time on the ground in NH.

Earl Pitts, American. I laughed as soon as I saw Kerry's quote! How dare he steal that line and make it his own!

Very good analysis. The last few weeks in an election when someone goes totally negative, you can bet they are losing, and Kerry fits that to a tea!
Believe that has happened here in OK with Carson and Dr. Tom will win!

John Kerry shouting "Wake up, America!" is just the sign we ought to look for. He's like a baby seal who sees that Canadian Club, and knows that no matter what he does, the WHOMP is coming, and he's gonna be a fur coat at Bloomingdale's.Outstanding analogy!

Bob Dole went around the nation the last two weks of October in 96 shouting exactly the same thing. How'd that work out.

I don't know if that picture of AF1 is real or not...Huh?!!! It is a Reuters news photo taken by Jason Reed this morning. Here is the URL: http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&u=/041029/ids_photos_ts/r3525405430.jpg
Check it out, and while you're doing it, please do us all a favor and put your tin foil hat back in its nice little box.
