I just do not understand why the heck he fought in Vietnam then...he is such a traitor and seeks to exploit America.

Something must not have gone his way over there. On the other hand, maybe he had to turn coat to get himself out of deep doo doo.

"Senator Kerry will be pointing out how irresponsible this president is when it comes to the environment."

I'm NOT laughing at that. It would not surprise me to hear something like it. BTW, when I saw Lanny Davis out this morning for the Kerry side of this issue, I knew they were in big trouble.

Kerry should have waited for the facts before jumping all over this one.

Kerry acted on bad intelligence.

No seal on the door in the video, no proof that alleged explosives are on video and GPS just south of Al-qa-qaa wraps up this "story". I'm going to bed. Goodnight all!

Links for locations of ammo dumps:

Tuwaitha 18 km SSE of Baghdad

Al-qa-qaa 30-38 km South of Baghdad

Salman Pac 40 km SE of Baghdad

No one knows where (or even when) the "April 18" tape was made. The cameraman doesn't know, so neither do the networks.

SQUAD – Nine to 10 soldiers. Typically commanded by a sergeant or staff sergeant, a squad or section is the smallest element in Army structure, and its size is dependent on its function.

PLATOON – 16 to 44 soldiers. A platoon is led by a lieutenant with an NCO as second in command, and consists of two to four squads or sections.

COMPANY – 62 to 190 soldiers. Three to five platoons form a company, which is commanded by a captain with a first sergeant as the commander’s principal NCO assistant. An artillery unit of equivalent size is called a battery, and a comparable armored or air cavalry unit is called a troop.

BATTALION – 300 to 1,000 soldiers. Four to six companies make up a battalion, which is normally commanded by a lieutenant colonel with a command sergeant major as principal NCO assistant. A battalion is capable of independent operations of limited duration and scope. An armored or air cavalry unit of equivalent size is called a squadron.

BRIGADE – 3,000 to 5,000 soldiers. A brigade headquarters commands the tactical operations of two to five organic or attached combat battalions. Normally commanded by a colonel with a command sergeant major as senior NCO, brigades are employed on independent or semi-independent operations. Armored, cavalry, ranger and Special Forces units this size are categorized as regiments or groups.

DIVISION – 10,000 to 15,000 soldiers. Usually consisting of three brigade-sized elements and commanded by a major general, divisions are numbered and assigned missions based on their structures. The division performs major tactical operations for the corps and can conduct sustained battles and engagements.

CORPS – 20,000 to 45,000 soldiers. Two to five divisions constitute a corps, which is typically commanded by a lieutenant general. As the deployable level of command required to synchronize and sustain combat operations, the corps provides the framework for multi-national operations.

ARMY – 50,000+ soldiers. Typically commanded by a lieutenant general or higher, an army combines two or more corps. A theater army is the ranking Army component in a unified command, and it has operational and support responsibilities that are assigned by the theater commander in chief. The commander in chief and theater army commander may order formation of a field army to direct operations of assigned corps and divisions. An army group plans and directs campaigns in a theater, and is composed of two or more field armies under a designated commander. Army groups have not been employed by the Army since World War II.

I'm looking over the video right now and I've got a few quick observations:

The commentators use "may be the explosives", "possible" and "close to Al-qa-qaa" too much. They also talk about the embedded reporter using GPS as a locater which puts them just south or on the southern boarder of Al-qa-qaa. Well that's not the same as being in Al-qa-qaa. These ammo dumps all have easy to find GPS locations and I have a links with those coordinates. There are three large ammo dumps in the same general area. Al-qa-qaa, Tawaith, and Salman Pac (also a training camp for terrorist). I'll load the video and post the links for reference.

There were 500 tons of Uranium at Tawaith which we did secure and I believe this is the real story. Check these links:

In May of this year, U.S. Forces were prohibited from removing 500 tons of Uranium from Tuwaitha. Reference: San Diego Union Tribune

It seems Al-qa-qaa is only a few kilometers away, but it is closer to Salman Pac.

Here is a good image of Salman Pac. Click on it for High Resolution:

I am swearing off TV permanently. I haven't missed it in the last 3 months, I can do without it.

Oh, when I said just there that I'm taking a week off news, I meant ALL news, even on the Internet, in print, radio, etc. I'm in politics overload right now. I'm sooo ready for this all to just be over!

Of course, being the FR addict I am, I'll probably glance at it a few times in the week, but, that doesn't count....does it? hehe

At this point in this confusing, twisty and largely bogus story, I am beginning to think it doesnt matter if we ever find out definitively where the explosives were, or are, or when they got moved from where they were to where they are, wherever that is.

What IS key is the single most important lesson of this entire affair: if reaffirms for the umpteenth time that whenever he gets a chance, John Kerry will pee-pee all over the brave American soldier and denigrate him and put all his trust in the enemies of America.

And what about the story that the tonnage of the missing explosives was only 3, not 380?????

This was never the story. The story was 380 tons of RDX and HMX. Something like 200 tons of HMX and 180 tons of RDX. only 3 tons of RDX was at the facility (the rest was supposedly at another facility 25 miles away), meaning that there was approximately 203 tons of HMX and RDX at the actual Al QaQaa facility.

Unless there is conclusive evidence released today refuting the original claims made by the NYTimes and others, this story is not good for PresBush`s reelection efforts. Period. Frankly, there is no time left in the campaign for this story to move off the political radar screen. The entire liberal establishment has been playing it up, for all its worth.

I believe that is why the Pentagon is getting involved. I have been waiting for them to give a press conference.

This should tighten this story up.
