HOLY @#%^@#$&!!!! Joe Lockhart was trying to spin the myth that W let UBL escape from Tora Bora and citing retired AF (I think) General McPeak's statements that are negative about the war. Gibson pointed out that Gen. Franks himself has said that Kerry has his facts wrong about the situation in 2001 at Tora Bora.
John Gibson: "Mr. Lockhart, you aren't questioning Gen. Frank's credibility are you?"
Lockhart: "What I'm not doing is questioning Gen. McPeake's credibility...Gen. Franks has had two years to get his story straight about Tora Bora and he's out there doing the President a political favor."

McPeak's (aka General Gucci) claim to fame during his tenure as chief cook and bottle washer of Uncle Sugars Wind Force was to make so many damn uniform changes a every year that enlisted and officers could'nt keep up with AFR 35-10 even if they tried or could afford to....Biggest darn mistake GHWB ever made was to sign off on this chicken strangler IMO.
McPeak is the dumbest POS I ever encountered in my 26 years of service . A worthless speaker, embarrasment to the force and clearly appointed to his position due his nut huggin abilities vs any inkling of leadership or capability to command a TV remote much less the USAF........
Don't even ask me to tell ya what I "didn't like about him........:o)
Oh I know that! I wasn't talking about the ajudication of the case, just the media non-existent coverage of it. Do you think that if Sandy Berger had been Republican, the media would have dropped the story?
If Kerry wins, we will see UN-loving Perfumed Princes like Weasley Clark and McPeak as SecDef, CJCS, etc.
