Stupidity news: One of Kerry's electors in Ohio, Rep. Sherrod Brown, is a congressman. Unfortunately, the constitution forbids federal office holders from being electors. It is possible that if Kerry wins Ohio, Brown's right to cast an electoral vote will be challenged in court. Whoever picked a constitutionally ineligible elector needs to get his or her mental software ungraded to the latest release.
What was it Ann Coulter said about the Dims four years ago?
Regarding their pandering to a constituency to dumb to figure out how to read a ballot, she said of their Party:
"Those who live by the stupid, die by the stupid!"
You watch, the lib/dems will get away with another NJ-style substitute play.
The elector's name is already on the ballot. I think it is too late because the absentee ballots have already been mailed out.
Suggestion: Everyone should take one of those cheap throwaway cameras with them to the polls and actually take or pretend to take pictures of the commies standing around with demonrat signs. Then inform them you're turning their picture over to your State Attorney General. Should be great fun! Get em all lathered up.
ANd he's going to make all of us suffer. What an Ahole.
I hope he has a current passport if electoral votes come down to the wire. His 15 minutes of fame may be more than he expected. And the WV GOP should be horsewhipped for adding to our worries.
I guess Kerry doesn't want any votes from the state of Missouri.
It would mean that if the race gets thrown to the House, they could, in theory, elect Cheney President. Beats me what would happen if the Senate also elected Cheney Vice-President.
What makes you so sure? Haven't there been any cases where an elector dropped dead in the month between the popular vote and the electoral vote?
Agreed. Electors aren't listed by name on the ballot. It ought to be easy enough to provide for replacements before election day, especially since the electors don't have to show up and vote for President until December.
And what the law doesn't provide for the judges can.
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ ARRRRRRRRRGH. This is what I mean by my head on the verge of exploding. :o) However, I happen to think that Cheney could handle both jobs just fine.
The Dems will win in court.
Assuming Kerry wins OH, I still believe that this elector will be allowed to vote for Kerry. If his vote is not required for a Democrat victory, the Democrats won't pursue the issue, but if he is needed, he will cast his vote somehow.
You may be surprised to learn that the supreme court of the United States declared the constitution as irrelevent, they would decide what was right or wrong. So you thought we lived in a Constitutional Republic, but the people who control the supreme court, namely the Tri-lateral Commissiom and the Council onForgien Relations are the ones in charge and have been for a long time.
It is very easy to contact them in New York city and they will send you membership list.

A couple jokes pop into my head, if I were to write for liberals:
"He's had plenty of pratice at it already."
"So who goes to the undisclosed location while Cheney is in public?"
I'm sure that they simply looked it up in their How To Be A DemoncRAT Handbook instead. "All electors for John Kerry must be nonwhite, preferably with a deep non-european accent, hate God, and should as often as possible publicly display their sexual deviancy.
Are you sure? I know it could be different in Ohio, but I know they are listed on the ballot in Georgia (or, they were in 2000).
