Wonderful news. God bless.
Feeling fine, but it's nice to take a little time off. Thinking about a half day tomorrow too. You better not work yourself into the ground! A couple hours sleep here and there are a must. LOL!
You know, you've done such a great job for us all these years, I'm going to go ahead and let JimRob know you're taking all day tomorrow...with pay. You deserve it. Go ahead, have a great day off just for yourself. I can't think....
Oh, you mean at work? Not FR?
Sorry...never mind.
You sound like a publisher. But, instead of "why don't you take the day off with pay?" the common refrain is "here's one more extra thing for you to do WITHOUT pay! Oh, and the check for that stuff you did for EVENTUAL pay will be in the mail Someday ... probably months after *I* get back from my days off WITH pay!"
(No idea how to punctuate that last sentence. LOL)
That last sentence is never - I say again, NEVER - written down. I don't think you can punctuate it, although I suspect you'd like to puncture he who delivers it!!!
OBTW, do you do flu shots? Are you going to be able to get one this year? Hate to see you fall under the spell of that little monster.
It's supposedly too risky for me to do flu shots. (I managed to make out okay for years, but last winter I got the flu big time! You DID just remind me that I MEANT to call the doctor's office today. Of course, it's closed now. LOL)
I have trouble with lots of meds because of my chemical sensitivities. Problems supposedly caused by the preservatives they use in them. Last I checked, there's only one pharmacy in TX that distributes some preservative-free meds; I've never checked to see exactly which ones they carry. Another thing for my To Do List. ;)
Now for good news (FINALLY): Last night I breaded a tenderized pork tenderloin in a mixture of cornmeal and freshly grated Parmesan-Reggiano cheese. It was delicious! (On FoodTV I'd seen somebody use that mixture to bread halibut, and thought it'd work for tenderloin, It did. Very well!)
Well latest report is they try make arragnement according to SKY news to Arafat travel to France
Now Hareetz wire reporting they think what Arafat suffering is low blood count he has blood????
SHUT UP
Also another report off Drudge site did ABC news hold back on giving rest of videotape from Al Quada to CIA
WELLL MAYBE NICE GOIN ABC News now you see why ABC news ratings are dropping hello Michael Eisner
Also AP wire reporting that CNN financial network CNN FN going stop air in Mid December Damn that network is still on the AIR
It is snowing in Cortez Colorado!!!!
You just discovered that? You poor deprived darling!
We've been using bread crumbs, grated cheese, garlic, etc. to coat meats for what seems like forever! Helps to have an Italian family!! We're a bit plebian, though, we usually use freshly ground parmesan and romano cheeses. I've skinned my knuckles plenty grating a hard block of parmesan!
Snow in W. Colorado...y'hear that 'connie? Better make sure your brother has chains!
Borrow away. (HiJinx just let me know that it wasn't all that inventive.) ;)
Thanks Jinx, I think the trip is off though, darn it! My brother gets "cluster headaches" and they started a couple of nights ago. They only hit every 1 or 2 years but they can last for days sometimes weeks. They're quite debilitating. Poor dear.
This rain is wonderful! I took today off work to prep for his visit & figured I'd just stay home & enjoy the rain. I pulled out the bread maker & got a pot of chili on the stove. My house is smelling pretty good right now!
Whaddya mean German-Italian isn't well known?
You've never had Lasagna at Fra Diavolo on the Clay Allee in Berlin! Delicious! They also have a tintenfisch (octopus) pizza that is...well...less than appetizing!
Then there was the Italian restaurant under the Schlangenbader Strasse overpass in Berlin that was run by Turks who could speak neither Italian nor English. Good food, but ordering was an adventure!
P.S. I french-fried mine in regular olive oil. (I keep olive oil in the fryer for freedom fries. When it gets to be about time to change the oil, I use it to fry breaded stuff. I especially like to make beer-battered chicken strips or fish!)
For the cornmeal-Parmesan-Reggiano batter, I didn't bother to dip the tenderloin in flour first and/or egg. Just put the breading directly on the meat. (It would have been just as good, if not better, pan-fried in a little EVOO!)
I'll correct that to MY German-Italian cuisine isn't well known. LOL
I do have a simple recipe online that's popular ... with some. My nephew has served it at dinner parties!

I've only spent a week in Munich/Bavaria, so I didn't get a chance to try official German-Italian cuisine. I loved the carbonated lemonade they served at the Haufbrauhaus! (sp?)
I'm outta here for a little bit. (Most of you know what that's code for.) ;)
Latersssssssssssssss....
