I attended this event and met Curt Weldon, Dom Giradono and a lot of the vets. I had a pretty good sign and before the press conference started Weldon called me over to stand behind them so the media could see it clearly.
Weldon read the document and made a short speech along with Dom Giradono and 2 State Reps.
Weldon gathered a small group of people to go up to Rendell's office to deliver the letter, most were Vets and media but I managed to slip in with my sign. I asked Curt if it was ok as I was making room for myself on the elevator (heh) I told him Free Republic would never forgive me if I didn't try to see the look on Fast Eddie's Face.
When we arrived at Rendell's office, it didn't seem like anyone was around. We rang the bell, knocked on the door and made some small talk about it being 2 in the afternoon and our hard working Gov and his staff were nowhere to be found. Eventually someone came breifly to see who we were, then went away to make some calls. He returned to tell us Fast Eddie was out of town. The documents were presented and he assured Curt they would be delivered to him today.

There were some assorted Kerry disrupters that tried to horn in on the press conference but Curt shut them down pretty quick.
It was a short event that has made the local tv news and radio and hopefully some national media as well.
Sorry I don't have pics but it was just me and my sign today.
I was happy to be there and thank the Vets and Curt and Dom.

It was not a real professional sign but better than most there!
Can anyone imagine a democrat clerk going to that effort for the military? Yet, that same democrat would quickly go to a jail or prision to find felons to vote.
Curt was pretty emphatic on that point. Rendell made damn sure the felons had the opportunity to vote.

I sent him an email about his efforts to prevent the military from getting the right chance to vote and then told him if he spent 1/10 of the time and effort that he spent working to get illegals and criminals registered and voting on the military, he'd have done something positive. But that since he was more concerned with illegal and criminal votes than the military votes, he was simply being a democrat.

This is a BIG issue for us folks up here in the bastion of dem corruption...Pennsylvania.
Im concerned that Rendell and Street are trying to literally steal PA for Kerry. I do believe that the majority of the state outside of Philly is overwhelmingly for Bush.
They are trying to offset the swing to Bush among culturally conservative blacks in Philly using fraud, and disenfranchisement of military votes.
We need to make a stand here in PA...this may be THE STATE...the FLA of 2004!

Thank you for your courage. If people really want to know what it is like for criminals to be in charge they need only to remember names like Stalin, Hitler, and Hussein. The effort to enable criminals to vote is obscene.

I just heard a spokesman for Fast Eddie, Secretary Cortez, on Dom Giorano's show. He stated that all military ballots for those troops serving in Iraq were mailed on August 24th, all others serving overseas were mailed in September. This can't be true, since the newspapers reported that no ballots would be mailed until a court decided the Nader issue; and if they did get the Nader ballots, I'm not sure they would be counted if used. I remember reading that they would not be counted, since they would be considered wrong ballots. Fast Eddie lying again.
This is the time we MUST take a stand or we may not have another opportunity.
Hey going into Philly is NOT my idea of entertainment, it is just too weird there these days. But most everyone who took the time to read my sign give me the thumbs up and a few shouted words of encouragement. Even the parking garage guy was very cool about it. I must say the response shocked me somewhat. But then again the union thugs were not our in force.
Thanks for helping to hold Rendell accountable for his disgusting attack upon our military.
From what I could gather they have sent out 2 different ballots and have already said they would NOT accept the ones with Nader on them that were sent out first.
From talking to folks there today the ones that were sent out second ... some have not arrived to our Military. There were some relatives of guys stationed here and there. I know Dom talked to one of them.
