What a treat on "Fox & Friends" this morning: William Kristol hammered the pro-Democrat New York Times and pro-Democrat CBS for "colluding" and "conspiring" with Sen. John Kerry to topple President Bush. Even Kerry's own handlers now admit they have no proof to back up the issue the Democrats concocted with their media allies. Kristol notes in his new column for the Weekly Standard: "Pressed on Tuesday afternoon about the accuracy of the allegations on Fox's Big Story with John Gibson, Richard Holbrooke, a senior adviser to the Kerry campaign, said: 'You don't know the truth and I don't know the truth.' He later underscored this point: 'I don't know the truth.'"
Vice President Dick Cheney, campaigning today in Kissimmee, Fla., noted that Kerry "doesn't know" and that Holbrooke "admitted as much." He reiterated that "John Kerry will say and do anything except give our troops the backing and praise they deserve."
Kristol continued: "That minor issue hasn't kept the Kerry campaign from creating a television ad based on what may well be untruthful claims. ... Shouldn't he at least make sure that such a charge is true?" But in the Democrat playbook there's no entry for truth. The party's longtime strategy is to repeat a lie until people believe it. Thanks to their media collaborators, and President Bush's wimpy refusal to denounce the Times and "60 Minutes" and Kerry and John Edwards, the stunt could succeed. At least a few voices are speaking out. "Kerry gins up his attack machine based on a flawed New York Times story," the Republican National Committee noted Tuesday. Richard Lessner, executive director of American Conservative Union, blasted the story as "a cheap, baseless and partisan hit-job on President Bush" and pointed out that "neither the Times nor CBS has much interest in reporting the facts." FrontPage Magazine's War Blog noted today: "Now that the story is both a fraud, and at the same time confirmation that Saddam had (1) very dangerous stuff and (2) WMD might have been spirited away as war threatened or broke out, the Bush-Cheney 2004 campaign must be welcoming the complete incompetence of the Kerry forces, who have once again decided to charge uphill into the face of withering down-hill fire, on terrain chosen by the Bush-Cheney 2004 team, namely, who would be a better Commander-in-Chief in a conflict where the bad guys – Saddam and his terrorist allies – have access to tons and tons of RMX?"

The fact that the MSM will cross the threshold of cross-criticism is the first step in the competitive drive toward honest bias.

Two points: 1) When will someone with the means and the evidence challenge CBS for it's license "to broadcast in the public interest?" 2) When will traditional democrats take notice that their party has been hijacked by Stalinists, who are more than willing to use lies and intimidation to advance their march to power?
Unfortunately, I am afraid that the MSM will not jump on the bandwagon until Nov. 3 or 4.
This is one of the really great things about the new media. Back in the old days, Big Media could do this crap with impunity. Now we not only hold them accountable, but their fraud is allowed to become part of the conventional wisdom, because it is not allowed to die as it used to be. The market is working, and I can't wait to see how the new media ultimately shakes out.

Actually CBS does not have a license to broadcast. The individual stations hold the licenses. When local TV stations broadcast a bare-breasted Janet Jackson at the Super Bowl via a network feed, it is the individual licensees who are violating FCC regulations by broadcasting it.
I can answer the above question. I did in 1992 right after Clinton was in office. No DUmmy, I recognized Marx/Lenin when I saw him in action and left that party forever.
Nope, didn't see it during the campaign when he was pretending to be a moderate, but sure saw it in his inauguration speech.
Last night on FNC, or yesterday morning on FOX & Friends (days & nights are starting to run together now), Kristol said he already voted for Bush.
Personally I detest him and wouldn't trust him to walk my dog --- and I don't HAVE a dog.
