On Tuesday, October 26, over 500 supporters of President Bush gathered outside the Indiana University of Pennsylvania Field House to protest an appearance by Michael Moore. Moore, who was paid for by IUP student activities fees, was visiting IUP as part of his national "Slackers Uprising Tour".Rhonda Goodrich, Courtney Adams, the IUP College Republicans, and the Indiana County Young Conservatives organized the event, and were extremely pleased with the turnout. The counter protest to Michael Moore was so effective that even Moore himself had to mention the crowd outside. "I have never seen anything like this," Moore told the audience at IUP.
That's an insult to guns and elephants everywhere. ;)
good riddance moore..I hope Bush wins by a landslide so he can shove your rhetoric right back down your throat.
virgina tech; auburn. They say auburn is liberal (they say that about all the colelge campuses I suppose) but i have never seen such an enormous bunch of wild Bush yahoos in my life.
Hardin Simmons University in Abilene, TX. A Division III NCAA school. Southern Baptist affiliated. (I'm not Baptist myself, nor a grad of the place). Do live in Abilene, though; military town, 3 religious colleges and many churches. Living nearby and being sportsminded, I enjoy going to football and basketball games there. Great football facility and good clean fun watching a top Division III team year after year. Pretty good academic offerings, I am told....
Ya'll need to locate his get away resort place in Michigan and hang out with the scumbag.
I won't give out the exact location, but here's a hint. Torch Lake Michigan. Iam sure it won't be hard for someone that is looking.
OT, but you asked....
Easier to list the Libstitutions to avoid. My view on Big 10 Ten Schools for conservatism:
Indiana = no (my 2 kids went there..learned the hard way)
Purdue = yes
Iowa = yes
Michigan = no
Michigan State = ?
Northwestern = no
Ohio State = no
Wisconsin = no
Penn State = ?
Minnesota = ?
Illinois = ?
Others might add more
I had asked to be put on a ping list since this was mentioned here a month ago. Never heard anything until local radion mentioned his visit yesterday morning. By that time it was too late to change my plans. It would have been fun to be there.
Someone posted to me yesterday that they thought PA was primed for Bush (knew of Dems who were gonna vote for him too) and they said it was all going to come down to Bucks county turnout.....I asked them to let me know where Bucks county was since I live in O-Ut-O (Ohio)......can you enlighten me? Thanks.
He has been considering University of Oklahoma...Anyone know anything about that campus?
I recently graduated in May 2004 from the University of Kansas which is extremely LIBERAL!
I heard a saying the other day
"If you are under thirty and vote republican people assume you have no heart, and if you are over thirty and vote democrat then you do not have a brain."
It was sad and disheartening at times to be a minority, but it also allowed me to reach people who had different views and convert them.
I would recommend a public school, maybe your son coul dbe a great influence
And no one threw any pies!
I have a friend who went there...it is semi-conservative, and leads more to the liberal side, however there are a decent amount of conservatives
Bucks County is in southeastern Pennsylvania.
Ohiopyle country?
We were there!! WOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOO!!!!! What a great turnout!!
Thank you College Republicans and YCOP!!
