British Navy approves Satanist to perform Satanic rituals

Navy approves first ever Satanist

Mr Cranmer will be allowed to perform Satanic rituals The British Armed Forces has officially recognised its first registered Satanist, according to a newspaper report. Naval technician Chris Cranmer, 24, has been allowed to register by the captain of HMS Cumberland.

The move will mean that he will now be allowed to perform Satanic rituals on board the vessel.

According to the Sunday Telegraph, Mr Cranmer realised he was a Satanist nine years ago.

Religious values

At the time he stumbled across a copy of the Satanic Bible, written by Church of Satan founder Anton Szandor LaVey.

He said: "I then read more and more and came to realise I'd always been a Satanist, just simply never knew."

Mr Cranmer, who is from Edinburgh, is now lobbying the Ministry of Defence to make Satanism a registered religion in the armed forces.

A spokesman for the Royal Navy said: "We are an equal opportunities employer and we don't stop anybody from having their own religious values."

The Church of Satan was established in San Francisco in 1966.

LaVey was its high priest until his death in 1997.

Followers live by the Nine Satanic Statements, which include "Satan represents indulgence instead of abstinence", "Satan represents vengeance instead of turning the other cheek" and "Satan represents all of the so-called sins, as they all lead to physical, mental, or emotional gratification".

A person's freedom to worship ant spit doesn't obligate a government to accomodate said ant spit worship.

I think it is, but you can never trust the BBC. I don't know why we try to work with the UK.

Unless your Constitution guarantees freedom of religion.

If the Army doesn't like it, kick his ass out.

So you are saying that there are no Satanists in the US military? The armed forces in any nation are a cross section of the communities that they live in. In the UK and US military you are free to worship the Moon if you so wish.

British Navy.

Although, I'm SURE this will be great for morale on board a ship!

The key word is 'accomodate', as in modify regulations, grant tax breaks, etc. Nobody is denying a person's right to worship ant spit.

Expulsion's a good plan.

Just trying to imagine the decktop scene near the stern in which naked sailors are dancing around a simulated bonfire while periodically howling at the moon.

It might help them understand the enemy better, although I think that even Satan has turned his back on the Islamofascist monsters.

First, this will injure Britain in the eyes of God.

Second, this "religion" was obviously created just a few years ago. There was no obligation to provide it access due to its minimal representation in the population.

Third, the intent of this religion is to promote selfishness to the point of evil. This decision will ultimately destroy the morale of this military unit.

Well of course, in this age of post-modern insanity, recognizing the 'religion of evil' makes tremendous sense to every "enlightened" sheeple!! And it makes yet more sense to allow 'priests of evil' to perform ceremonies on naval vessels to do what? To plead for everything in opposition to "good".......chaos, abject defeat, tremendous loss of life,
decadence, misery, torment, etc.
What intellectually enlightened people we have become!!!
